Work Text:
There is a ghost in
Ketts’s hallways.
Ketts knows that the figure in the hallways wasn’t there before he moved in. Before that, it was just empty air; a vacancy in the absence.
“Hello?”
He calls. The figure doesn’t answer.
“Hello? Hey, I’m talking to you.”
“Ketts?” Ketts swears the figure in the hallways shifts a bit. He must be dreaming.
“Ketts?” He pauses.
who’s
ketts?
He lightly chuckles at his own joke.
The figure doesn’t follow, and steps forward, a sense of longing
in
its gaze.
“It’s really you.”
i thought you died
im so sorry
Ketts looks confused now. “Uh huh. It’s me.”
i thought you become
lost
and afraid
“Who were you?” Ketts tries to say, but it catches on a fish hook.
