Chapter Text
Harsh blueish-white light flashes into the room for too long a moment. Sudden but slow fading, the distant lightning casts long shadows on the Poké-center room’s off-white walls.
Slow breaths and the muffled music blasting in Muni’s headphones are the only sound in the room. Followed moments later by a distant rumble. The thunder accompanied by the harsh patter of sideways rain.
Both natural staples of the mountainous cliff-side Celaridon city. Unless of course, you consider when it’s snowing.
The locals prefer the rain.
A mildly disgruntled sound leaves a curled up Muni while she rolls sluggishly over to face the window. Dull magenta eyes glaze into staring at the sky outside as her cool palms rub her face.
Not being adjusted to the storm’s constant dark made for miserable sleep last night. Which was devastating, considering Muni had set out too late last night to take the bus up to Celaridon city and had to walk up through the harsh rain and thick slush.
What a rookie mistake, Zeekie would never-
Muni’s jolted out of her hazy thoughts by the creak of the door and the white light flicking on. A pink haired woman stands in the door with a smile.
“Good morning young trainer! Did you sleep well?”
Muni prays to Arceus that she doesn’t appear as spooked or as miserable as she feels, a wide smile splits the Psychic Trainer’s lips as her hand relaxes from it’s white knuckle grip on the sheets.
“Y-yep! Your beds are really comfy.” Not technically a lie, the Celaridon city Pokéstops were spoke of as luxury spots by most trainers on or finished their journeys. With hot showers, sizeable rooms, comfortable beds and food reminiscent of home-cooking. It’s definitely better than whatever microwave meal or crappy caféteria food some of the other cities’ Poké-Stops have had.
“Lovely.” Nurse Joy enthusiastically puts her hands together. Muni wishes the throb behind her eyes would stop.
“Breakfast becomes available at 8:30. Please remember to come by and eat before you depart. Will you be staying another night?”
Muni blinks slowly for a moment. Then nods her head. “… yeah. I will.”
Nurse Joy nods. “Alrighty then! Good morning again young trainer!” With a glowing smile Nurse Joy leaves, with the white wooden door abandoned wide open behind her. Leaving Muni to simply stare out after her.
