the noob layer was a place of showmanship. evbo remembers the time before, how much fun it was.
he remembers when parkour civilization was honorable, honest, happy even. he can't believe that seawatt was a noob himself, with how he acts.
he's a cheat, a liar, a scoundrel. he's not a true noob. he hasn't suffered, he's just faced the consequences of his actions. why is he champion?
seawatt doesn't deserve those diamond boots.
evbo knows that he'll be only be happy when he sees seawatt get what's coming. he wants to be happy again.
the jester had spared evbo, told him that he was an entertaining show, the best bred dog of the civilization with that spinning move of his, even though evbo doesn't feel like it, having been made in the old champion's lab and tossed aside like trash.
distantly, evbo remembers that the old champion told him he was next in line. he doesn't want that. he wants to earn them. he's not like seawatt.
the old champion's last-ditch attempt at creating a heir, was what the jester called him. evbo just wants someone to look and him and call him a noob again. he hates the fighter level, this cheap, knock-off of the noob layer, his layer.
seawatt doesn't. seawatt fits right in. seawatt should've been a fighter instead of a noob.
evbo hopes seawatt dies here. he knows the old champion told him to kill seawatt at the arena, to do things the proper way, but when has he ever listened?
(plenty of times, but shush, evbo can be rebellious now, he deserves something, right? after everything he's gone through, evbo knows that he's entitled to something solely his. even his actions don't feel like his own, always on the commands of someone else.)
