Sonic the Hedgehog was loud, bright, alive—just the opposite of the boys who walked the halls of the Académie de l’Épine Noire. But when he found out he was offered a scholarship to attend that very academy, he couldn't resist accepting it for the sake of his family and the possibility of a brighter future.
He packed his things and left the village behind.The academy was quiet. Too quiet.
Rules curled around every word like vines, and the students were as cold as the marble floors beneath his feet. He didn't feel welcomed. He didn't feel wanted. But still, he stayed.And far, far above him, hidden in the tower no student dared to visit, lived another boy.
A secret. A shadow. A life in a cage of fear and lies, being told again and again that he would never be accepted, never be loved, never be seen for who he was.But sometimes, fairytales begin with the wrong boy finding the wrong door.
