Fallen Ashes(Ideas/concepts) [MAJOR HIATUS/PAUSE]

Summary:

Cyn was by all means, a normal worker drone. Sure, she spoke a little oddly compared to other drones and sometimes moved a little oddly—but there never is a “perfect” entity. Oh and the oddly sharp fangs compared to other workers and the claws she for some reason possesses, but we don’t talk about that. At Least she had her brother Noctis to help defend her when things got too. . . rough.

Then she accidentally ruins what little she had of a normal life by helping a near-dead disassembly drone out of pity. Turns out the “perfect” entity does exist and now quite literally wants her flayed alive and disemboweled for meddling in its affairs.

Basically your generic swap AU, only with a few tweaks and changes. Mainly just testing the waters of actually posting stuff on ao3, and will only use this to throw ideas down onto the table–but may actually try to post actual story chapters eventually. ;)

Notes:

Hey there, thanks for actually checking this out. Hope y'all have a good day/night and enjoy my little ideas/occasional ramblings that should hopefully turn into an actual story. I would start it off as a story right off the bat, but life sure is hell for me right now so I unfortunately don’t have the time—but might as well supply you curious folk with my ideas. <3

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Alrighty. Here are the basic swaps for the “main” characters.

-Uzi swaps with Cyn, and Cyn swaps with Uzi. Surely nothing bad will come out of this switch™

-Doll swaps with V, and V swaps with Doll. V still retains her psychopathic personality however, so still we still have a serial killer within the bunker. (And she may or may not still retain the Solver.)

-N swaps with Thad, and Thad swaps with N. Despite this swap, Thad ends up becoming the Holo-spooky-snake crab because I’m sorry Thad but you are pretty flat as a character and we need someone to become a eldritch horror for plot convenience.

-J swaps with Lizzy, and Lizzy swaps with J. Lizzy luckily gets to live, and J is still a bastard.

-Tessa swaps with Khan. Pretty obvious, makes sense. No more comments. Khan gets sent to the Oblivion because I have no place for him in this.

-Nori swaps with Tessa. Made this decision due to Uzi swapping with Cyn. Mother daughter bonding <3. Dw she won't be skinned. She’ll just get brutally murdered by one of the disassemblers during the massacre, but won’t say which one.

-And just because why not, Alice swaps with Yeva, and Yeva swaps with Alice. Alice gets shot for plot reasons and Yeva does whatever the hell OG Alice was doing down in the labs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

N’s name is Noctis. Noctis was adopted alongside Cyn by Tessa in this, and is quite loyal/protective over Cyn. He’s still quite sweet like in Canon, because of course he is—but is a little more brash due to Cyn constantly being picked on. Open to some more ideas for him if ya’ll want to help contribute to this. :p

V’s name is Vi. She came from who knows where, and was temporarily adopted by Alice. Alice was killed in a disassembly drone attack, and Vi was already not doing too well mentally essentially snapped. The Solver activated within her code after what was pretty much her only parent being killed, and she just began enjoying killing the drones for the oil requirements of the Solver. So she did have some kills she did simply for sport, mainly to take out extreme emotions or truly just for fun. Tessa did try to help Vi, but Vi was quick to reject and continue doing her normal cannibalistic activities. (“normal”) She still tolerates Jay, Noctis, and Cyn however.

J’s name is Jay. She also came from who knows where, and is quite close to Tessa. She’s still judgmental and bossy, and a major prick at times–but mainly wishes to protect the others. I unfortunately also don’t have much for Jay/J, so feel free to give ideas for her. (I am genuinely so sorry this is so underdeveloped, you can clearly tell which parts I hyper fixated on. T^T)

Cyn is the little sister of Noctis, still quite quiet and even eerie at times. The Solver for now remains dormant inside her code, for now. She can be quite defensive at times when it comes to Noctis, though has an affinity for Jay and even Vi. She is quite intelligent, tinkering around with things in her free time mostly to make little trinkets for Noctis and Tessa.

Uzi is now the Main host of the Solver, and since it decided to not make a way to realistic cosplay of Nori in this, it instead resorted to a mixture of Solver Uzi and Eldritch horror(So pretty much every other Solver entity.) When the Solver first took over Uzi—Lizzy, Thad, and Doll did notice some major changes to her personalities and movements, and even physical traits.

Before the Solver fully took over, Uzi was more like her canon self. Rebellious(even if it wasn’t a good idea to be rebellious in the manor), Angsty, and overall a gremlin. After the Solver properly took over, it tried to mimic Uzi’s personality–but it was always a hollow copy. Always a little too quiet and not as snappy as times, more cryptic. And also, Before the Solver took over, Uzi did have More light purple optics, while after it became Violet like the Canon Uzi.

Chapter 2: {MAIN CHARACTER PROFILES/BACKSTORIES}

Summary:

Simple Character Summaries/Backstories for the main fellas. :)

Notes:

Damn, was not actually expecting people to have some interest in this, so thanks to those who piqued interest in this/left kudos. Hope Y'all have a good day/night, and if you are here just because you are curious, hope you still have a good day/night. <3 Anyways, enjoy my terrible explanations of my ideas for this. :)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Cyn:

Cyn is a worker drone, one of unknown parents as she was fixed up by Tessa and Noctis—who found her near dead just outside the bunker when she was younger. (Do drones age? Yk what I won’t question it.) She was always a little odd compared to the other Workers of the bunkers, Mainly due to her sharper teeth and claws—but also because of her occasionally jerky movements and odd Speaking habits. She ended up trying to patch her speaking habits, which only partially worked, ending up in the habit only occasionally showing itself. She’s quite clingy to Noctis due to him being her big brother, so she often ends up getting herself in tough situations trying to impress him.

The Solver remains dormant within her code, though Cyn does experience the occasional Oil craving or overheating–but she usually ends up just using Coolant supplied by Tessa to get rid of it temporarily since the Solver hasn’t fully activated. She prefers to be more observant, though does tend to stare for a little too long and ends up being labeled as “Eerie”. She picked up tinkering/inventing as a hobby from Tessa, and often makes small things for Noctis and Tessa as gifts—though some of her larger scale projects take inspiration from the Disassembly drones. She’s always had a morbid curiosity with Disassembly drones and often hordes knowledge about them.

Totally isn’t why she ends up helping a near-dead Disassembly drone when she gets the chance.

Noctis:

Noctis is Worker drone, also one of Unknown parents and big brother to Cyn—Adopted by Tessa. He’s quite protective over Cyn, mainly due to other workers picking on her and her reckless nature. He helps with simple tasks around the bunker, still retaining his sweet and overall helpful personality—but can be quite stern at times when the time calls for it.

He has some technical skill, but never excelled in it—mainly actually being quite skilled in close combat due to classes he took with Jay. He always sees those for their hidden traits, and is easily able to see through personality facades due to past experiences. He is one of the few drones that was able to get close to Vi, often actually hanging out with her at school with Jay and Cyn even if it’s sometimes against her will(Mainly concerned about her). Not much else for him so far unfortunately.

Vi:

Vi is a Worker drone, one of unknown origin like all of the others, but was taken in By Alice when she was still alive. Her Solver activated quite early on in life, being a-lot more unpredictable than the Usual Solver. Alice tried to help Vi with her Solver, having some past experiences when she was in the labs even though she never picked up the Solver herself—and it did work out temporarily.

Until Alice was killed by a Disassembly drone right in-front of Vi. Any prior proper control of the Solver was gone after that, and Vi just snapped. She basically after a while didn’t care about Alice’s death, simply satiating the Solver’s needs and even killing for sport. She still holds a grudge against the Disassembly drones, but it isn’t her main priority.

Tessa on multiple occasions tried to take in Vi, But Vi simply refused every time. Mainly because Vi just believes anyone who gets near her will get hurt, and hence why she kills for sport. She simply wants to “Put them out of their misery before they get tormented by something else.” The only time she ever let drones get close to her was when Jay, Noctis, and Cyn came.

Jay did catch Vi with one of her murders, but oddly didn’t seem bothered by it. She just looked at Vi, the dead drone, and just continued on. The next day Jay came up to Vi during School, causing Vi to freak out, but Jay just started casually talking to her. Mainly about how that drone was a liability and it’s fine their dead, they didn’t need 'filler' within the bunker. Vi was confused, but begrudgingly became her friend after Jay offered to become her Friend. Noctis came with Cyn shortly after Jay became her friend, and they all gradually became a small ragtag group.

Jay:

Jay is a worker drone, one of Unknown origin like always, and is head(and the only member) of the Corporate Appreciation Group of Students. She’s tactical, coming off cold and uncaring, especially when it comes to other Workers. She almost always places them in groups in her Processor. Useful, could Be useful to the colony with some work, and Filler. Jay does not care about the lives of “filler” at all, and the only drones she excludes from these groups are Cyn, Tessa, Noctis, and Vi.

Jay still gives Noctis a hard time, but she does have a soft spot for all of them—simply wants the best for her little group. She feels a little bad for Vi, she always had after Alice’s death–so that was also part of the reason she didn’t react when Vi quite literally was hiding a dead body in-front of her. All I have for her for now. :,)

Serial designation D(Doll):

D is a disassembly drone, originating from the Manor and one of the first Disassembly drones along with L and T. She’s pretty unbothered by everything, Simply following her orders and quickly disposing of Workers. Though she does remember almost Everything from the Manor, and is quite reserved because of this—barely trusting anything Solver related.

Though, at times she can gain quite the temper, lashing out at almost anything nearby if she gets too aggravated or even afraid. She doesn’t care much for Disassembly drones as a whole, only really caring about L. She holds some honor however, and has spared the occasional worker if they help her out.

So when Cyn found her half-dead and still helped her despite Doll quite literally being one of the Drones designed to eliminate her kind—Doll obviously spared her.

Serial designation L(Lizzy):

L is a Disassembly drone with T and D, being the leader of the squad. She’s quite close with D, and is harsh to both T and D because it’s necessary to keep them safe. She does the quickest method of killing workers to make sure they at least don’t suffer before they die, but mainly because D convinced her to at least not be sadistic about it.

She still has a massive ego, making sure to clean herself up after each hunt and often degrading T when she’s super aggravated to keep her Ego at a sustainable level. She’s more smart than she puts on however, knowing the cards she has and applying them whenever necessary—but she’s not afraid to resort to violence and/or aggression when needed. And she is eerily good at manipulation, often applying it to workers to convince them she won’t harm them—making them lead her to a larger group, and then killing them all. Yeah, she doesn’t exactly have the same morals as D.

Serial designation T(Thad):

T is a disassembly drone, being accomplices with L and D. He is quite reckless and bold, and even a bit of a douche at times. His memories were the most scrambled out of the entire squad, so is often clueless to what L and D often talk about. He’s the most loyal to “JCJENSON IN SPACEEEEE”, and is quite ruthless in his killing.

Often though, he gets quite injured because of his recklessness, still fighting even when he is clearly outnumbered. He does enjoy the company of D and L however, even if he doesn’t understand them most of the time. (Sorry, don’t have much for Thad/T)

Notes:

That’s all for now, just quickly whipped this up this morning/during school—had some free time for once and here it is. Sorry if it isn’t the highest quality, I just want to provide the basic ideas of the swapped characters(again for some) and parts of some of their backstories. Hope y’all have a good day/night and thanks for checking this out <3

Chapter 3: Update

Summary:

I live. I guess.

Notes:

Greetings Everyone! I know It has been a long while, but just everything has been going to shit recently for me so these delayed updates will probably continue(I’m genuinely so sorry :,] )
Anyways, for the few people that are here, here is a small(Possibly miniscule) little update.

Chapter Text

Since Uzi replaced Cyn in this, I imagine the Disassembly drone designs do change a little bit. Since I imagine the Solver’s “Personality” is dependent on the host: So the disassembly drone schematics will change slightly.

Changes:

-No more peg legs. I never saw the practicality of these, so they are gone now. Either just going to give them normal legs or even talons. Depends.

-Antenna. For radio channels for the disassemblies to connect to. Not a major change, but one still worth noting.

-A-lot larger wingspan. Once more, not a major change–but one worth noting. More feathers(Blades?) are added as well, quicker in air overall.

-Small spikes(Horns even?) on the sides of their faces. Just a bit of the solver’s flair on them :p

Other random things that aren’t related to actual changes, I guess just some more tweaks to this:

-Disassemblies can’t retract their wings. Mainly because where the hell do they go in the series.

-Outpost-3 does have some form of defense against the disassemblies in this. 3 reprogrammed sentinels that strayed from the labs. Who knows maybe V(Vi) gets her raptor friend in this as well.

Notes:

That’s all I have for now. Just throwing the ideas I have out into the world. Thanks for listening/reading my terribly explained ideas and hope you have a good day/night<3
