It took Tango days of preparation before Valentine's day. That's what happens when you have five partners.
He's gonna spend the morning with Impulse, Skizz and Zed and the afternoon with Jimmy and Scott.
Thankfully, he had prepared the presents days before, deciding on giving each of them a small gift and bouquet of flowers, each different from the others.
For Zed he chose a necklace and peonies the same color as the sheep’s eyes.
For Impulse he picked classic red roses, that he knew the other liked, and chocolates, knowing he has a bit of a sweet tooth.
Skizz’s flowers were a bit more difficult to get since he'd chosen lily of the valley’s, and then a dog plushie that looked like one of his dogs.
Then came the slightly difficult choice, Scott and Jimmy. He knew that he'd give Jimmy a golden bracelet and Scott matching golden earrings, but he didn't know what flowers to give them.
His first thought were poppies but that was more of a them thing, then he thought of roses, that was simple enough and also classy.
So he decided on white roses for Scott.
Then there was Jimmy. He liked blue, but there are many blue flowers.
He was walking while thinking until he realized he made his way into a swamp. That's funny, he was told stories of the Empires and that Jimmy ruled over the swamp once.
While he snickered at his own thoughts he looked around and his eyes caught a flash of color.
Blue orchids.
How could he not think of that? They're perfect!

When he woke up and realized the day, he basically jumped out of bed.
“It's a busy day today!” he said out loud while getting dressed.
He got ready quickly and made sure to have all the gifts ready.
They would meet at Skizz's pyramid given it was close enough to each of their bases.
When he arrived he found Skizz and Zed already there, they both beamed at him when they saw him.
“Tango!”
“Top!”
They grinned and he went over to hug and kiss each of them. “Happy Valentine's” he smiled after he separated from Skizz.
They waited and chatted for a few minutes waiting for Impulse.
When the man in question flew over, he greeted them with a “sorry, I'm late!” which they all promptly ignored in favor of kissing him.
“Do we do presents or date first?” Skizz asked.
“I say presents” the blazeborn answered excitedly.
At the others’ agreement, he looked through his inventory to get his gifts.
“Zed” he called as he handed him the bouquet and the box of the necklace.
“Oh it's so pretty! Thank you Tangs” Zedaph said with a smile and leaned down to kiss him again before giving him his gift. A beaded bracelet with each bead being made of resin with the smallest yellow carnation flowers he's ever seen inside.
“Did you make this? How?” his tone clearly showed how much he appreciated it even if his words didn't.
“Science” was Zed’s only answer accompanied by a chuckle.
Then he went to Impulse where he and Skizz already swapped presents.
Impulse gave him a box decorated with yellow roses, when he opened it the words came out of his mouth before he could think about it.
“You've got to be kidding me” he laughed and handed over his own box and the red roses.
When Impulse opened it his eyes widened and he started laughing as well.
“We got each other the same thing!” They laughed together before leaning in for a kiss.
They closed their respective boxes and stored them in their inventories before swapping with the others once again.
Skizz grinned and handed him a small package. When he opened it he found a pair of black fingerless gloves with flames embroidered going from the wrist to the fingers.
“Do you like them? I know it sucks but it was hard to learn that in two weeks” Skizz commented.
“Wait, you embroidered this!? Since when?” he asked, making Skizz grin at him. “I told you, dude, two weeks, I had Clebert teach me”
“Skizz, I love them! Thank you!” Tango jumped to hug Skizz and then kiss him, which he happily reciprocated.
After that it was his turn to give Skizz his present, firstly he gave him the flowers and then pulled the plushie out of his inventory.
At the sight of it Skizz audibly gasped.
“Is that Kevin Bubbles Malone Refrigerator Jimmy Madeye Dugan!?” he grinned even more, if that was even possible.
“Yep, Kevin bubbl…ator… Dugan!” he smiled.
“Aw Top you're the best!” Skizz hugged him and spinned him around.
They were joined by Zed and Impulse not long after.
“Shall we get to our date?” Zed proposed and they all agreed.
They walked their way to the shopping district, just hanging out, joking, relaxing and enjoying each others’ presence.
While they walked around the shops, enjoying the sights they normally would overlook in their business rushing, they ran into all the other hermits, some in couples or throuples, others in groups.
Almost everyone had some sort of visible new thing on them, be it jewellery or flowers or something else.
They spent the morning just relaxing and playing some of the mini games around the shopping district.
They ate lunch together before Tango had to leave.
“Say hi to them for us” Impulse said with a warm smile, that prompted Tango to smile back with a “of course”
He kissed each of them goodbye before leaving Hermitcraft.
When he arrived on the private server he was greeted by Jimmy flinging himself at him.
He was engulfed in golden feathers and strong arms. “My rancher! Happy Valentine's!” he grinned while twirling Tango around before kissing him.
“Happy Valentine's” came Scott's voice from behind the wall of feathers. He was released and went over to give a kiss to the fae as well.
“Happy Valentine's to you too” he said to both of them. “What do we have planned?” he smiled.
“Well I got a picnic date planned” Scott declared happily. “Are we ready to go?”
“Lead the way” Jimmy replied.
Scott grabbed one of each of his partners hands and started leading them through the woods away from their cottage.
After a while of happy chatting and walking, they reached the entrance to a cave.
When they entered a gasp left Tango’s mouth, inside the cave was full of plants, bushes, flowers, vines hanging from the ceiling. On one side there was an alcove with a pond that looked like it was glowing.
“This is amazing Scott!” he said with awe.
On the opposite side of the pond there was a checkered blanket that alternated blue, green and red squares with various foods laid on top of it.
“Oh my gosh, Scott! This is exactly like our first date back in Empires!” Jimmy exclaimed and Scott smiled smugly and nodded.
At that the avian turned to sweep Scott off his feet to kiss him. Tango watched with a smile on his face.
After settling down on the blanket, Tango cleared his throat.
“I have something for you two” he pulled the flowers out of his inventory, giving each of them their own bouquet.
“I didn't know what flowers you liked, so I went for something classy for you Scott and then while thinking of Jimmy I ended up in a swamp and remembered your stories of empires-” Tango started to ramble, before he was stopped by a kiss from a blushing Jimmy.
The sudden affection made the blaze blush and flare up a little.
“I love them” the avian murmured after parting. “You're adorable Tango, thank you” Scott chimed in.
“W-well I've got something else too” he stuttered in embarrassment.
Both of them looked pleasantly surprised when he pulled out the two jewellery boxes.
“Oh Tango… you didn't have to!” Scott said as he opened it. “They're beautiful”
Meanwhile, Jimmy opened his and held the bracelet up next to Scott's earrings. “Look they match!” he exclaimed.
Tango couldn't help but smile at them.
They spent their afternoon laughing and chatting together, feeding each other the pastries and cookies Scott prepared.
At some point, Jimmy picked some of the flowers that Scott had planted in the cave to make each of them a flower crown.
Obviously poppies for Scott, then he picked dandelions for Tango and did a mix of both for himself.
Tango was so lucky to get to spend the day of love with all of his lovers.
