The late afternoon glow of the sun spills into Katuski's dorm room through the thin curtains, casting a golden light to display on Izuku as he walks in behind Katsuki. Closely sitting next to his boyfriend on his bed.
"Hey, Kacchan!" Izuku chirps, the bright smile spreads across his face. "What do you call a fake noodle?"
Katsuki rolls his eyes. the faintest hint of a smirk twitches at the corners of his mouth. "I don't know, what?"
"An impasta!" Izuku bursts out, his laughter bubbling from him like a fizzy drink. He clutches his sides, gasping for air as if he said the funniest joke known in mankind. "Get it? Impasta?" Izuku says out of breath.
Katsuki's expression flickers. "Yeah, yeah, real funny Deku." He tries to maintain his usual gruff demeanor, but the way Izuku's laughter fills the room makes it nearly impossible.
"Okay, okay!" Izuku waves his hands, still giggling like a child. "How about another one? What did the fish say when it hit the wall?"
Katsuki sighs, but there was a glint in his eyes. "Fine. What?"
"Dam!" Izuku exclaims, doubling over again.
"Seriously?" Katsuki shakes his head, trying to suppress the smile that threatened to break free. "You're ridiculous."
"Ridiculously funny!" Izuku beams. "C'mon, you can't tell me that one didn't make you chuckle."
"Chuckle? Really? Fucking idiot." Katsuki mutters, but there's no hiding the warmth in his voice. Truth is, watching Izuku be so carefree with him makes his heart flutter in a way he can't quite understand.
"Okay, last one, I promise! What did one wall say to the other wall?"
'Ugh, I don't know. What?" Katsuki leans back, arms crossed, though his curiosity was piqued. Even if he found Izuku's jokes dumb.
"I'll meet you at the corner!" Izuku exclaims with a wide grin displayed across his face.
Katsuki snorts, unable tp contain himself much longer. "That's so dumb," he says, but the laughter in his voice betrays him.
Izuku's eyes sparkle with delight. "See? You're laughing! I knew I could make you smile!
Katsuki turns his head away, trying to hide the small grin that has formed. "Don't get used to it, you idiot. I just..I don't get why you think these are funny."
"Because they are!" Izuku insists, nudging the blond playfully. "And look, you're smiling!"
"Shut up," Katsuki grumbles, but there was no bite to his words. "I'm not smiling, I'm just annoyed."
"Sure, sure. Annoyed..right." Izuku smirks. "And i'm All Might."
"Don't get smart now." Katsuki drops his smile, glaring daggers at Izuku with no real hatred.
"Oh, no no no. Never with Kacchan." Izuku says as he crosses his arms and shakes his head.
Katsuki snarls. "You're pushing it, Nerd."
Izuku smiles in return and lays down onto Katsuki's bed, getting comfortable.
Katsuki sighs and soon joins him as well. Very slowly wrapping an arm around Izuku's waist. His face bright red.
After a moment of silence, Katsuki speaks.
"For the record, I only laughed because it was you saying the jokes, not the jokes themselves."
"What? What do you mean?" Izuku questions.
Although Katsuki doesn't say anything back, just decides to wind down for the night with Izuku's questioning hums.
He'll let Izuku figure out what he means while he gets his well needed rest.
Actually, that's not a good idea. Now Izuku's going to stay up the whole night. Shit.
