Work Text:
It wasn’t supposed to be a story worth remembering.
Snow turns the world into something hushed, like a theater right before the film begins.
Chan runs ahead, laughing, boots slipping, arms wide as if he’s trying to catch the falling snow itself. No worries. No weight. Just him—bright and warm against the cold. The streetlights glow faintly, dim halos cutting through the dark.
When there was nothing left beside me, through the dim lights
You came and sat by me and at the moment
Minho stands a few steps back, hands in his pockets,he doesn’t chase after Chan even if he knows that's what the older wants. He just watches instead. He knows that Felix or Jisung will come out soon and join Chan in whatever snow game he has in mind.
Seungmin on the other hand is closer. Chan always circles back to him, always reaches for him without thinking. Snow hits Seungmin’s coat, melts into nothing, just like the thoughts he refuses to let linger too long.
With the blackout, the door opened
The world’s holding its breath. The lights dim a little more. And suddenly, it’s their cinema.
When Chan slips in the snow, it’s Seungmin who catches him, reflexes faster than thought. For one suspended second, they’re too close. Chan’s laughter is right there. His warmth. His smile.
When this light goes down
Story starts to rise up
Minho’s gaze softens. This isone of the part he’d never skip.
Chan grins, completely unaware. “You’re my hero, Seungmin.”
Seungmin laughs, stepping back first.
“Watch where you’re going, old man.”
Chan pout, then start throwing snow at Seungmin. "I'm not ooooold"
Through the gaps of passing fates, today’s curtain opens
Never stop writing down
confess their love ? Neither of them will. Love doesn’t always need a climax. Sometimes it survives best in the background.
Minho comes closer, then reaches out, brushing snow from Chan’s shoulders.
Until I capture the best scene
I won’t let go
This is their scene.
This is our CINEMA
Let me be your CINEMA
Chan laughs again, spinning in the snow, calling their names to make sure they’re still there. They are. Where else can they go ?
In Minho’s mind, the film keeps rolling. He’ll remember this—the lights, Chan’s smile, the way time feels slower right now. He’ll keep it safe so it never fades.
In this film tape
Our image is captured
Seungmin hums softly, almost without realizing it. Every moment with Chan feels like something to cherish. Something to sing about.
So that it doesn’t fade away I’ll remember
I’ll cherish it for a long time
The world grows louder for a second—distant voices, the crunch of snow—but it all feels far away. Like applause from another room.
Everyone’s shouting
Everyone’s clapping
In this radiance, CINEMA
Chan finally turns back,
“You guys cold?”
Minho shakes his head. Seungmin smiles.
’Til the end of the show
Never let it go
They don’t need more than this. Their names don’t need to be spoken together to be written together.
Here the light shines again
Ending credits going up
You and my name together on it
And night after night, if Chan ever loses his way—
When you cannot find your way
I’ll be waiting
Welcome to our CINEMA
—Minho and Seungmin will still be there, quietly loving him from the seats they chose long ago.
