Work Text:
After waking up for the third time that night from a nightmare about white rabbits, I finally listened to my instincts and went to find flock, because flock is safe. Jimmy and Martyn had both offered to let me live with them, 'cause flock, but I had refused. I had gotten so used to fending for myself in high school, I didn't want to rely on anyone else. But here I am, at three in the morning, knocking on the Property Police door. After several minutes, I just walked in. I found my little brothers curled up in their nest. I wiggled my way in between them and got comfortable.
"G?" Martyn murmured sleepily.
"No," I huff, draping my wings over both Jimmy and Martyn. "You're dreaming. Go back to sleep."
Martyn nods. "Mhm, fine." Then after a moment, he continues, "I've missed you, G."
To my embarrassment, tears prick at the corners of my eyes. "I missed you too, Marty."
