   Above her, half a memory looms. His skin is red as blood, the cover he wears worn and almost faded colorless. His black hair curls gently, loose from its usual slicked coif. The edges of the brim of his hat smolder with faint flame.

   (Lethica had joined the Cult of Shar to be rid of her tragic and painful past. Somehow, hundreds of years later and several realms removed from Avantris, it finds her anyway.)
