Chapter Text
He felt dizzy as he tried to get out of his bed. Spudsy's. The bright flashing lights. The whole video thing. It was too much for him.
That adventure was one of the worst ones he's ever experienced. It was so bad that he couldn't even walk or think straight.
Then, whenever he saw Gangle, he would immediately look the other way or even go run off to a different area in the tent.
He was like that for the whole day, and he hoped no one would notice. But it wasn't easy going back to normal after that.
He tried to stop it, but he couldn't get the employee re-evaluation out of his head.
It just kept playing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER-
Caine: "-llo? Jax, you in there?"
Gangle looked at the purple rabbit. He hasn't been like this in years. Why is he acting like- Oh. Right. The video. The hands that grabbed him and forced him to stay still. The masks that switched back and forth. One happy, one sad.
He was so scared. Just thinking about it made her feel horrible. It was all her fault and she didn't even try to apologize for what she did.
Jax: "Eh? Wh- what happened? Where am I?!"
Caine: "You're in the circus. I was trying to get your opinion on the last adventure."
Jax: "O-oh. I uh... It was bad, I never wanna go through that again." He crossed his arms and walks away from the group.
Gangle looks around at the others before she runs after him.
Gangle: "Jax, wait!"
He looks back and quickly disappears.
Strange. He hasn't said anything to her yet and her mask is still in one piece. She thought that once they returned, he'd go back to being his normal self.
But now, it's like he's trying to hide from everything.
