Ellen Stormweather, a Blackstaff dropout, has run into her old classmate, Gale Dekarios, years after he left to serve as one of Mystra's Chosen. And years after he laughed his way out of her father's house after a marriage proposal. She had felt pleasantly vindicated after he fell out with Mystra, but now he's back, and a hero of all things.
Ellen and Gale, old classmates and competitors, have found themselves with the same mission and are faced with finding answers together after many years apart.
