Resigned to his grim fate, he's surprised to find himself spared once more on his arrival to the Underdark— this time by Minthara, a woman as clever as she is cruel, as she seeks a servant for her own mysterious ends in the City of Spiders and beyond.
An alternate universe where Gale is captured post-tadpoling, Minthara isn't a leader in the Absolute's army, but the plot of the game is still (mostly) in tact.

Phantom of the Opera was my very first fandom, and it's still a huge special interest of mine. This fic will weave (heh) a story borrowing elements from multiple adaptations, including but not limited to the original novel by Gaston Leroux, the 1986 stage musical, and the 1990 TV special. All characters will retain their original fantasy races, but magic does not exist besides talking cats.
