Work Text:
You felt a light tap on your shoulder and spun around. The round yellow face of Wally Darling met you, lips tugged up into a smile. He raised his hand and gave you a friendly wave. His black eyes drifted down to your arm. Dark brown wood was bound with black straps, wrapped tight around your upper arm.
"What's that funny thing you're wearing, neighbor? Never seen anything like it before!"
Your face dripped into a frown. "It's not a thing, Wally." You corrected and pointed to the wooden limb. "His name is Jim. He's my arm."
"Your arm?"
"Yup."
