Raven’s exhausted as Garfield cheers at another victory in Garbage. It’s game night at the tower, and Raven wasn’t able to get out of this one. She’s slumped back on the couch, Titus’ head laying her in lap, and all she wants to do is curl up in Damian’s arms and sleep.
But nobody knows they’re together. It’s been three months, and they’ve been enjoying their privacy, but they also just haven’t found a good time to drop the news.
At the moment, Raven’s about to make Damian hold her and say screw it.
Raven twists her head to the side to see Damian glancing at her, and she knows that he’s worried.
“You okay?” Damian mouths the question as Garfield starts dealing the cards again.
“Tired,” mouths Raven with a lopsided smile. “Hold me?”
She watches surprise filter over his face before his lips curve into a gentle smile.
Raven moves her hands to the side as Damian calls Titus over to his side. Then he scoots over as the room goes quiet, and Damian slips a hand under her knees to adjust them to lay over his lap. Raven immediately curls into his side, tucking her face into his neck.
She relaxes as she breaths him in while he wraps an arm around her back while a hand rests firmly on her thigh. She melts into his embrace with pure ease.
“Thank you, my Love,” whispers Raven as she gently kisses his neck before letting her eyes properly fall closed.
“Of course, my Beloved,” replies Damian softly as he presses a kiss to her hair.
Raven lets sleep drag her under as the room explodes into confusion because she knows Damian can handle it. When she’s rested up enough, she’ll help him clear the air and deal with the questions. But for now, she sleeps.
