They'd always loved messing with the fans. Making a big scene out of the rumours. Rumours that had always been there. Fans picked up on it quickly. The love they had, the affection, the small looks towards each other. "Jalex".
They leant into it as much as possible, sharing kisses on stage, cuddling in pictures, even holding hands at weddings, looking like a couple.
Yet here they were taking it further. Fans had gone crazy over the mention of the ship in an Instagram post. They'd laughed at the comments. "Jalex is real" "Jalex?? In 2025??" And "long live Jalex". It made them realise the fans wanted this. Just like they did.
They never wanted to fully announce it, just drop hints to see what happened. Watch as everyone puts together all the evidence throughout the years. Watch the confusion.
A music video. Dropped suddenly. Not mentioned. They didn't have long to film it, but they knew it was how they wanted to do it.
It was just them, together. Sharing their love. Old clips joined with new ones. Behind the scenes of shows, them together. On the bus, sat on top of each other, gazing into their eyes. It would be obvious to anyone.
Finally came the last scene. A gentle kiss between them. Stood directly in front of the camera. Feeling the nerves rise in their stomach as if it was their first kiss. Alex lifted his hands and placed them on Jack's jaw, pulling him in.
"And scene" shouted their director.
No backing out now.
