The thick jungle greenery was covering your face and the crunching sound of grass and leaves under your boots. You were an explorer and an animal veterinarian. Where you were was a jungle not many people have explored. Rumor said that it was the deadliest jungle. You were wearing a pair of khaki shorts, a grey t-shirt, a hat that covers your face, a military style jacket with many pockets, and combat boots. You were carrying your adventurer backpack with your daily necessities like food, water, and other things. You were still walking when you stopped. A sound of leaves crinkled that made you have goosebumps. You looked everywhere but didn’t see anything until you looked down at the ground of the dirt path that had patches of green grass. You saw out of the corner of your eye something slithering away. You looked to the right where you saw the slithering creature.
Then through the bushes you saw a shade of royal blue peaking out. You walked slowly watching your step on the twigs and anything that could make a loud noise. You peaked in the bush and you had to hold in your shock and surprise.
“What the heck?” You thought.
It was a snake. Not big but not small either. Okay maybe a little more big but not python big. The snake was royal blue with red patches and patterns on its skinny snake tail. There was also blood. A wound on the snake's tail. It looked to be from a bird or anything in this jungle with sharp anything. You carefully took off your bag and opened it to find your veterinarian first aid kit. You pull it out. You get some bandages to wrap around the snake's cut, and ointment for the cut. You got to the snake that is just lying down on the dirt floor. You carefully pick it up. And use some of your water to clean the wound. Then you apply the ointment carefully and the snake seems to nearly wriggle out of your hands from the ointment.
“Sorry.” You say. Hopping that it would hear that you know it’s not fulgurite your worried about it.
You then wrap the bandage around the snake’s cut that was clean and would have no risk of infection. You then set it down and pack your vet first aid kit up and put it back in your pack. You then put the pack on your back and walk away, when by your 8th step you felt something slither up your leg. You looked down. It’s the snake.
Its eyes looked at you with a pleading look. You decide that you would take it with you since now you made friends with a snake by healing it. It slithers into your backpack pocket. You keep walking your brain reminding you that you have made a friend with a snake that you helped heal.
Rain was coming. The sound of the first drops of rain on leaves makes you calm down. But then you realized where can you shelter herself from the rain?
“Great, now I don’t know where I am or where to find shelter till the rain stops, I’m practically in the middle of the jungle.” You say dreading having to have wet clothes and get sick.
Then the royal blue snake got out of your backpack pocket and slithered in a direction then looked back at you as if telling you to follow it. The rain was already getting heavy so you follow.
The snake then arrives at a cave and you sigh with the biggest sigh of relief and get into the cave. You rest your body against the hard rock wall. Your legs were tired and sore from the walking, you were cold from the rain, and your eyes were getting heavy from the amount of energy used on the trip. You get the sleeping bag out of your backpack and eat some of the food you packed. You lay the sleeping bag down and get in it while using your backpack as a pillow. The snake then slithers in your sleeping bag. You then decide to look at it closer, the scales look a little metallic, and when you check the cut to wrap a new bandage around it you see that the blood is a shade of bright blue. It was weird but you thought that the snake was just . After that you lay down and let sleep take you. But not until you feel the snake wrap itself around your waist. You looked down and smiled at it then you closed your eyes and fell asleep.
While you were asleep you began to feel something wrapping around you and it felt bigger and larger. You tried to move but you felt it squeezing you. You then got scared and began to struggle and the creature that was wrapped around you then made it harder for you to move your entire body, your arms and legs were bound and you were trying to wake up.
When you got one of your eyes open you were frozen in fear. The creature had a human body but the legs were instead a huge snake tail. You started to scream even if you are far from civilization, but the snake hybrid covered your mouth out of fear.
You opened both of your eyes and looked at the snake’s body that had a muscular torso and arms, silver jewelry on his body and ears, you look at his face the eyes were a striking blue that looked like she was looking at many galaxies with a calm look, his hair was in a style that was like a half up half down and that color was a shade of navy. The snake tail was royal blue and the red marks and patches were everywhere on its tail and body.
It’s face was close to yours, you were now trying to wiggle out of its coils. He then opens its mouth to show the teeth that look a little shiny and sharp then he uses his teeth to bite you on a spot on your shoulder. You felt the poison go all over your body, tears were falling from your eyes but it used its big calloused hand to wipe the tear away.
It then whispered “You will be okay, you will just go asleep and when you wake up you will be safe”.
Then the world went black.
The last thing you felt was being picked up before all your nerves went numb.
When the world came back you felt that you were covered with something soft. You open your eyes to see that your body was covered with a blanket. Your body was still sore while you were looking around. You were in a kind of forest garden that smells sweet. Then you saw him. The snake. He looked different though, he was still big and huge, his body looked more shiny and really metallic but his half snake body was still a royal blue but the scales looked more like they were made by a blacksmith.
“Who are you?” You asked. He replied with a calm tone that made him sound intelligent and majestic, “ My name is Optimus Prime and I have chosen to let you live”.
