    Summary

The real monster lives in your head and has your voice.
The ball on Toril was a trap. The Guilds played it perfectly: abduct the mentalists, infect them, dispose of the evidence.
    (Something went wrong.)
Tav wakes up on an alien planet with holes in her memory, a parasite in her skull, and a voice that isn't hers.
She's surrounded by strangers she doesn't trust. Everyone's a weapon. Some are just better at hiding it.
The pale elf watches her too closely. Like he's waiting for something. Or recognizing something he wishes he didn't.
The parasite whispers. The voice knows things Tav doesn't.
    And slowly, the question changes:
Who are you when you can't trust your own thoughts?
(...this wasn't how it was supposed to be.)
