The room was absolutely covered in pink and red lights. It cast a pretty glow onto the dancers, making them look like angels sent down from above. Shisui was relaxed back, his spread legs commandeering the soft bench. His eyes were focused on one of the many women on the stage writhing and dancing in a way that made his blood heat. He could see every single move she made, as she hugged the pole in a way that screamed of her comfort with the object. Sakura was twisting in ways that didn’t even look possible for a normal person, but each of her movements exuded grace. The gaze of the men around him focused on her as well.
“Gods, she’s a beauty.” The brunette man next to him muttered. Shisui took his eyes off of his woman to look at the man. He was nothing special, average height and weight. A complete lack of any real distinctive features. But the way he stared at Sakura put Shisui on edge. He stared at her like a possession, like something to be conquered. Shisui knew that look. It was the same look he got in his own eyes when he was on a mission. A single minded focus.
“Yeah, she is.” Shisui told the man while turning his gaze back to Sakura. She stood out amongst the other girls. Her bright pink hair fit right in with the atmosphere of the club. She exuded that supernatural grace that just seemed to come naturally to her. Sakura moved like she owned the place, and she did. All eyes were on her. Money was thrown her way without a second thought.
“She looks like an innocent little thing. I’d love to break her.” Shisui felt all the heat that had previously gathered in his blood turn to ice with that statement. Before anyone could even see, he was grabbing the man by the neck and shunshining right outside. A few leaves fell to the ground as he shoved the man against the wall.
“What the fuck?!” The man half squeaked and half yelled. Shisui could feel a growl building up in his throat as he stared at the human equivalent version of shit. Shisui took a deep breath and without even thinking, he pressed a knife against the man’s throat.
“If you ever come around here again spewing that bullshit I’ll fucking kill you.” He told the man, pressing a little harder with the knife and watching as a little bead of blood rolled down the blade. The man looked at him with pure panic in his eyes, nodding as much as he could without cutting himself more. Shisui tucked his knife away and shoved the man down the alleyway. “Now get the fuck out. You aren’t welcome here.” The man nodded and started running, the only good choice he had made that night.
Shisui took another deep breath to steel himself before turning to the door. He grabbed the handle with more force than necessary and strode inside the club. He returned to his previous seat and settled in for a long night of watching his woman dance.

“Hey, where’d you go earlier? I looked up and all of a sudden you were gone.” Sakura asked Shisui, peering up at him through pink lashes. Shisui ran his hand through her hair, pulling her closer. Her head was resting on his bicep, as they both lay entangled on the bed in their room.
“Oh nowhere, probably the bathroom. I’m sorry to miss even a second of your dancing though.” Sakura rolled her eyes at that one, a smile gracing her face.
“You’re such a flirt.” Shisui shot her a grin at that. “Anyways, I think we should be good to hit the target in just a couple days. They’re letting me into things a lot faster than I thought they would.” Sakura told him, running her fingers down his arm in a soothing motion that drove him crazy.
“Good, we should be home by next week then.”
And if Shisui had any plans to hunt that man down and slit his throat, well, that was for him to know.
