Summary: When one is sick, it is poor timing to assert your authority, Yuri discovers.
Yuri usually had a strong immune system, but he was still in bed sick today and he'd been sick yesterday too. However. he wasn't alone and he'd had some more tea. All thanks to her.
Though, that was starting to be a problem. The tea wasn't helping anymore. In fact, it was starting to make him sweat.
Yuri made a face. "Tea is too hot. I might be getting a fever."
"Then, what do you want?" Serena raise an eyebrow
"Ice water. Get me some ice water."
Serena nodded. "Yes, Yuri."
He suppressed a fit of hot annoyance. It seemed sometimes that Serena forgot just who he was.
"Yes, Yuri-sama. I'm your superior, you understand."
Serena blinked. "Yes, Yuri," she repeated.
Yuri could feel himself deflate. It was if he had never even spoke.
Serena couldn't be pushed. In her mind, they were equals. It was something he both admired and hated about her.
She left the room then probably to get some ice water. At least, she obeyed him.
She was gone a while. For over ten minutes.
Somehow, Yuri knew that he had hurt Serena. So, that explained the prolonged absence.
When Serena arrived, her movements were stiff. When she handed it to him, her expression was as cold and hard as the ice inside the glass. She said nothing.
As he held the glass, a drop of stray water, slid down and wet Yuri's index finger.
"Thank you," Yuri said softly.
But, sadly, she was no longer in the room to hear it. Yuri was now alone with his ice water, and honestly, it was already starting to make his hand cold.
In the future, Yuri would have to be kinder to one of his only remaining friends.
He didn't have that many to be honest.
Then, Yuri drank the ice water, and found it to be too icy for his throat. In fact, it was starting to make him cough. He wanted more tea.
