Chapter Text
It was a rare occasion that Megumi Fushiguro would attend a party. Not because he was never invited — It was because he simply didn’t like the atmosphere. He hated the loud, rowdy music. He hated that the air always stunk of sweat, cologne, and alcohol. He hated seeing those obnoxious couples who would always make out with one another in the middle of the room.
So here Megumi was… at a party.
It wasn’t like he showed up from his free will. He showed up because his cousin, Maki Zenin, invited him. This whole entire semester Megumi had spent his days attending classes and then going home to do nothing. In Maki’s words, he needed to “socialise”. Which is something Megumi would rather throw himself off of a 2000 foot building.
All of the things Megumi disliked at the party was obviously present at this one. It was clear he didn’t want to be here. His face clearly showed it. Megumi usually looked angry, but the facial expression he was showing at the moment was on a different level of anger.
“Maki.” Megumi sighed, turning to face the girl who was beside him. It was obvious Maki had started to drink. You could tell by the way she slurred on her words, you could tell by the fact she wobbled about. Megumi could tell by the way she was clinging onto him. “Maki, why did you bring me here? You know full well how much I dislike parties..”
A soft giggle would erupt from Maki’s mouth, her free hand would rest on Megumi's shoulder, the other would hold a red plastic cup which was half empty with booze. “Eeeh? Didn’t I tell you when we arrivedddd….? I want you to meet people! You knowwww… socialise….. meet a boy…… or girl…. whichever you prefer Megs!”
“Don’t call me Megs.”
“Mhhhm.. Whatever Gumi… I’m gonna go get another drinkkkk..”
“And don’t call me Gumi eithe-… Ugh..”
He huffed, watching her cousin stumble away into the room which held the most people. That being because it was where the drinks were kept. Megumi didn’t go into that room at all. And he wasn’t planning on it.
Megumi observed the house a bit. There was a main area, which he was in, that above held a balcony. He assumed that was where the bathroom was, due to the amount of people that stood there in a line. Around the main area were different rooms. One being where the drinks were kept. And.. bingo! A living room! Which clearly looked like nobody was in it.
For once, a smile crept on his face. Is this what winning the lottery felt like? Finally.. some peace and quiet in this hell hole of a party?
Before he went in, he scanned the outside of the door which was open that let you into the living room. There were of course people there. A group of girls which she didn’t recognise, probably some freshmen. And, a group of boys. One was in his year. That one was the most notable. Yuuji Itadori.
He was such a jock. If there was to be a competition of being the biggest jock, Yuuji would win with flying colours. He was the captain of the football team. He was the fastest runner in college. He would always wear this same red varsity jacket. There was a tiger patch on the back of it too. Megumi didn’t want to look and examine every inch of Yuuji, but he didn’t stop. Until he caught him staring back.
Anyway, Megumi immediately rushed by the two groups and into the living room. Silence filled the air. Well, as silent as you could get as there were numerous speakers scattered around the house blasting music at full blast.
Megumi had to admit, the living room was pretty nice. It was quite spacious too. There was of course a sofa which had a large rug in front of it, which took up the room pretty much.
There was peace for a moment. Until Megumi heard the door creak open. And movement which he could recognise. Maki.
“OoHh M-Megs!!!” The drunk called out, giggling to herself.
“What do you want now, Maki?”
“Hehe..” She hiccuped and coughed a little, grabbing ahold of her cousin's wrist as she tugged it. “Come! F-Follow me!”
Megumi knew Maki was up to no good. But she was his cousin, so he couldn't say no to her demands.
“Ugh.. fine.”
“Yayyyy! Thankkkk you! Ohh you’re the best cousin EVER!”
“..”
————-
“No Maki. I’m not playing Seven Minutes in Heaven. What are we… 16?” Megumi said sharply, shaking his head to his cousins at her request.
“Come on! You could meet someone through this! Do it! Please… for me..?”
Megumi paused. He sighed and took a deep breath, thinking about this carefully. There was a chance he’d end up in that closet with someone random. But as he peered into the empty room that was being used for the game, there were a lot of people in there playing along. So there was a really slim chance of him having the bottle spun on him.
“… Fine.”
Maki squealed in excitement, jumping around which made her drink spill a bit on her dress, but she didn’t seem to realise. Megumi didn’t say anything.
The pair of them would enter the room, the eyes on them as they joined in on it. Megumi would scan the circle of people to see who he recognised. There was a few people he was familiar with. Nobara, Toge, Yuta, Mai.
Then he realised someone he really didn’t want to see there.
Yuuji Itadori.
——
They were now roughly 5 rounds into the game. And so far so good. It didn’t look like he was going to be picked anytime soon. That wasn’t the case for Maki though. The bottle landed on her twice. Once with Yuta, the other with Nobara. So clearly she had a wild 15 minutes.
Megumi was pretty confident that the bottle wasn’t going to land on him. The odds were pretty rare now. An extra few people had joined in after he had too. Meaning the chances of him being picked had dropped even more.
Megumi Fushiguro was so busy celebrating in his mind about not being picked that he didn’t even realise a new round had started. Megumi was so busy celebrating that he didn’t realise that the bottle had landed on…
him!
It took a couple of seconds to process his defeat, and his face immediately drained of colour. There were numerous people giggling and saying stuff like “Oooh!” around him. But Megumi wasn’t focused on that. He was focused on who he had to spend that 7 minutes with.
“Come on Megs!” A drunk Maki yelled, waving her hands about. “Spin the bottleeee!”
Megumi would sigh. There was no going back now. Hopefully he’d get someone just as upset of being picked as him and they’d spend the 7 minutes in silence!
His fingers would push the bottle and it’d spin round a couple of times. The anticipation in the room was intense. It felt suffocating.
Eventually, the bottle would come to a stop. And it would land on… Yuuji Itadori.
Now everyone was really laughing, and Megumi was filled with embarrassment. Yuuji, on the other hand, looked unbothered. Almost as if he did this on the regular.
“Come on then, emo boy.” Yuuji smiled, his signature dumb, cocky grin plastered on his face which irritated Megumi to pieces.
The two would stand up and be rushed into the closet. The door was closed and locked. The 7 minutes had now started, and Megumi wasn’t in Heaven. He was in hell.
The closest being cramped was an understatement. Megumi couldn’t breathe in here. Him and Yuuji were chest to chest. And that was already embarrassing enough.
“Soo…” Yuuji began, a bit of someone’s coat hung up in the closet pressing against his face.
“No.” Megumi immediately stopped him from speaking. “We aren’t doing anything. We’re just gonna wait these minutes out in silence. Got it?”
“Fine by me.”
The closet was dark. Megumi could make out Yuuji's figure but that was about it. He didn’t really want to see his face anyway.
His thoughts would soon be scrunched up and thrown in the bin when he heard Yuuji talk.
“Are you always this lively at parties?” Yuuji asked, shuffling himself a little bit.
“I don’t go to parties. And I don’t act nice when I'm forced to play a game that high schoolers play.”
“Are you rude to everyone or is it just the fact you hate me?”
Megumi paused, blinking to himself as a look of confusion waved across his face. “Excuse me?”
“What? You’re always looking at me every time we’re in the same room. I just assumed you hated me.”
“.. You stare back at me.”
“Yeah. Only because I see you looking at me.” Yuuji huffed, folding his arms. “You look at me constantly. You look at me like I killed your pet cat or something.”
“I don’t have a cat.”
“So you just stare at me like that.”
“… I stare at everybody like that.”
“Especially me.”
Megumi fell silent, tutting to himself.
“You’re staring at me right now.” Megumi replied, folding his arms as he replied angrily.
“Well what else am I meant to look at? There’s nothing in here expect for us and a few clothes.. plus it’s dark as fuck in here.”
“Well I can feel you looking.”
The pair fell silent again.
Yuuji stepped a little bit closer to Megumi, their bodies now even closer to one another.
“I stare at you in English class sometimes.” Yuuji muttered, breaking the silence.
“I know you do.” Megumi replied back. “I catch you staring each time.”
“And you don’t stop me from staring.”
“Oh I’m sorry.” Megumi snorted, rolling his eyes. “I didn’t know I was supposed to stop you from staring.”
The two went silent for another thirty seconds or so. Yuuji sighed, staring up at Megumi slightly.
“I like that piercing of yours.” Yuuji said, admiring the lip ring Megumi held.
“Which one? I have too many.”
“The one on your lip.”
Megumi didn't say anything. He didn’t know what to say. So he stayed quiet.
“You know..”
“What?”
Yuuji paused before taking a deep breath.
“I’ve always wanted to know what it feels like.”
“Oh? Well it didn’t really hurt too b-“
“No you idiot.” Yuuji huffed. “I want to know how your piercing would feel against my lips.”
Hearing those words come out of Yuuji's mouth would shock Megumi to the core. His face would turn a shade of pink. He could feel the hairs on the back of his arms stick up from fear.
The two of them would be even closer now. Their bodies fully pressing against each other. Now they couldn’t deny that they were forced to be like this. They did this from free will.
“.. Can I?” Yuuji muttered. Megumi could feel his breath hit against his face when he spoke.
“Can you what?”
“See how it feels.”
Megumi would freeze and swallow a huge lump in his throat. He’d sigh heavily.
“.. Go for it.”
The next few moments didn’t register in Megumi’s mind. He didn’t register Yuuji gently cupping his cheeks to kiss him on the lips. He didn’t register Yuuji’s tongue lick his lip ring.
Megumi would shudder from the feeling. He didn’t protest in the slightest. In fact he’d lean in for the kiss. Allowing Yuuji’s to explore his mouth with his tongue. Megumi’s hands would move up and gently touch Yuuji’s pink hair, his fingers caressing his locks as the two kissed one another.
“Yuuji..” Megumi gasped softly, his body pressed against the others. Yuuji’s hands inevitably found Megumi’s waist, in which he held it tightly. Megumi’s fingers gently curled into Yuuji’s hair, not daring to let go as if it would ruin the moment.
Their passionate kissing would stop momentarily as they had a loud yell. “3 MINUTES LEFT!!”
Hearing that they didn’t have much time left, their kisses grew more needy and desperate. Yuuji, using Megumi’s waist, would gently guide the two to the other side of the closet as he held Megumi against it.
Yuuji’s lips would brush against the edge of Megumi’s lip ring every now and again, tracing it with curiosity and excitement. In reaction to this, a quiet noise would escape Megumi’s mouth. It didn’t sound like that noise belonged to Megumi’s vocal cords, and Yuuji absolutely loved it.
They kissed like there was no tomorrow. They kissed like time itself wasn’t even a concept.
“Megumi..” Yuuji softly spoke, whispering to the boy like they was hiding from something.
Megumi shuddered at hearing Yuuji whisper his voice. His heart beat quickened as the two shared such an intense moment together.
The moment they shared would eventually come to an end. The two heard “ONE MINUTE LEFT!” and knew their time was up.
Yuuji would gently pull away from Megumi. Still holding his waist as the two of them began to catch their breath.
“Holy shit..” Megumi gasped, catching his breath as he looked over at Yuuji in front of him.
“You okay?” Yuuji asked softly, tilting his head as he himself also breathed heavily.
“God.. yeah.. I'm fine..”
The two would stand there and catch their breath. A soft smile etching on Yuuji’s face.
“I’m guessing this was your first kiss, hm?” Yuuji asked, a laugh escaping his mouth.
“..”
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
“Was I any good?” Megumi asked shyly, looking down in embarrassment.
Yuuji huffed a laugh, that famous cocky grin on his face. “You were brilliant, Megs.”
The nickname immediately got Megumi’s attention.
“Wh- Don’t call me Megs!”
“Hm? I thought you liked it. Your cousin called you it..”
“Shut up.”
After Megumi finished speaking, the closet door would be opened. Yuuji stepped out first.
“Catch ya later, emo boy.” Yuuji winked, staring at Megumi who was still in the closet as he walked out of the room. Presumably back to his friend group.
Megumi meanwhile, was in shock. He couldn’t wait. He was in shock. And god did he crave more. More of Yuuji and his embarrassingly good kissing skills..
