    Itadori tried to speak again, but was silenced by Megumi, who kept his hand in place. “I know that you might feel like it is, but I promise you that it’s not.” He continued as he slowly pulled away from the other, never looking at him, embarrassed.

    “You don’t know that!” Yuji replied without thinking, his voice breaking a bit.

    “I do.” Megumi bit back, hurt, his eyes searching for the other’s gaze for a few seconds before walking away, sitting on his bed. “I swear I do.” The words came out harsher than he wanted to. He didn’t know how to be nice to someone without fucking it up.

    Or,

    Megumi finds Itadori crying in the bathroom and chaos (or love?) ensues.
