   Summary

   Japan was not at all like Vera was expecting when she moved here with her college roommate-turned best friend from America. The nation's six percent crime rate was on the rise, attacks popping up around the country faster than the news sources could keep up with them. Granted, it wasn't like she could understand much of what was going on, what with her inability to read kanji or understand Japanese at all.

   A chance encounter with a stranger at her favorite video game store leaves her with an invitation to a discord groupchat and a promise for a team to play league with whenever she had time. But something about the look in the man's red eyes tells her that this is just the beginning.
