The akama had appeared around 10:30 pm, it had taken nearly 2 hours to defeat. Chat having to use Cataclysm twice just to beat the akama, with ladybug using her lucky charm to fix all the damage the akuma had caused. Both Chat and Plagg were completely drained, didn't help that he would only be getting a few hours of sleep. Father already had a photo shoot set up early in the morning, meaning he would be forced to miss another day of school and his friends.
Plus Of course Ladybug was also in a mood as well. Just made fighting the akuma with a moody partner all the more enjoyable.
Seriously was it to much to ask for her to lighten up, granted its nearing almost 1 in the morning on a Tuesday. Both of them are exhausted from battling the akuma who turned out to be no other then Mr. pigeon. One would think Monarch would change things up, after all almost 3 years of battling for the Miraculouses and he still uses a lame villain.
As for his "M' lady" she was just standing at the edge of the Eiffel tower, her back turned to him. She hadn't said much the entire time. A few words during the battle were the only thing said, her usually happy smile was replaced with a scowl. Arms crossed tight against her chest, yep he could already tell what this would be.
After Another lecture about how he probably didn't follow her orders properly and how he screwed up again. No pound it or asked how he was after getting slammed into a wall. She also had the nerve to threaten to take his Miraculouse from him, that anyone with half a mind could do his job. Lovely morning, getting berated by someone other then his father.
The last few months working with ladybug has sucked, there's no longer any warmth in her. No more banter between them, whenever he would try to make a pun she would snap at him.

The last one she had said a week ago while patrolling, she still hasn't apologized or even acknowledge what she said.
So in accordance with what she wants Chat stopped joking, no more puns or witty banter. That day Adrian had to put on another mask, being Chat Noir use to be freeing. giving him the freedom to be his silly goofy side that he cant be while as Adrian. That to was stripped from him, by the one person who he thought of as a partner. That day his Miraculouse felt heavier on his finger, almost like his Cataclysm had spread all over his hand.
Plagg was PISSED off, the few cracks he left on the sidewalk was evidence enough of the tiny gods fury raising. When Adrian first had gotten the ring of destruction he learned the meaning of creation and destruction. Plagg and the one time master Fu had told him about the balance. You cant have one side overlapping the other. Yin cant overpower yang, same with yang canceling out yin.
The black cat and ladybug should always have equal standings, doesn't mean that it always has. Plagg had told him about a few of his past "kittens" who were neither all but forgotten by their partners. The balance was upset and it had caused a feedback of problems. That's how the black death had started in 1346, by 1356 they had to get a new ladybug to stop the disease and restore the lost balance.
Of course the black cat user was blamed by most of Europe for the disease.
Plagg would simply roll his eyes when with the lost city of Atlantis and the dinosaurs are mentioned.
No one wants to talk about Tikki's past bug's messing up as well, remember the titanic disaster, who "created" the ice field that caused the ship to sink. Yep Tikkis holder Thomas at the time was on board the ship and accidently caused the ship to sink. The black cat in 1912 was still in Ireland when it happened, still got blamed for the sinking.
Usually both Weidler's could feel the balance shift, same with their kwamis.
Adrian didn't want to loose anyone close to him anymore. He had stopped talking to Chloe after her behavior had gotten worse, reaching the breaking point he had ended their friendship completely. His "friends" didn't know the true side Adrian Agreste, besides Nino, Alix, Juleka and Zoey most of his class didn't know the struggles he has. His insincerity's, depression, the grief of loosing his mother, loosing Chloe and Felix. Kagami cutting ties with him, All that added with being a superhero while trying to limit how much destruction he causes when using Cataclysm. That's not even including dealing with his emotionally stunted father and his demands.
With ladybugs attitude change, Adrian once again could feel the icy feeling crawling through his chest. Plagg had caught him with a razor to his arm one night, it took the small god a hour just to calm him down. A few bandages and gauze were applied. The few cuts had healed after a week, a small scar left as a permeant reminder of how fair he was pushed.
Plagg had mentioned that he should tell someone about some of his struggles, the cheese loving god of destruction hardly leaves his side since his 'slip up". Only when he goes to use the bathroom now, if he takes to long Plagg will just phase through. He refuses to risk loosing another Kitten.
Its comical and sad that the literal god of destruction and chaos is more concerned for his own safety then Gabriel fucking Agreste is if it wasn't heartbreaking. Adrian accidentally had slipped up, saying he wished Plagg would've been his father instead. Plagg hadn't said anything, just snuggling into his neck purring that night.
"We need to have a talk chat, meet me at the Eiffel tower tomorrow 9:30 pm sharp".
"Is that a request or a demand LB"?
"This isn't a joking matter Chat, for once cant you just take things serious"? "We have a duty to protect all of Paris and get back all the Miraculous that Monarch stole"
"But Ladyb-"
"Zip it, for whatever reason you just take this as a joke, never taking our roles as hero's seriously". "No wonder why Master Fu never considered you fit for the role as guardian, if it were up to you monarch would've been had all the Miraculouse's years ago".
Chat couldn't even breath for a moment, Ladybugs words cutting through Chats heart like a million tiny shards of glass. Ladybug didn't even turn around to look at her partner, if she did she would've seen green cat eyes widen.
A silent, "don't be late this time" was all that the bug themed hero said.
With a grunt ladybug's yo-yo rips through the silent night, the bug themed hero lost in the dark.
Leaving the cat themed hero alone on the rooftop, all by himself left with words that can never be unsaid. Another string snaps.
Time seemed to slow down, the fact that his supposed partner had just said all of that. Adrian wasn't even aware his transformation had ended until a VERY PISSED OFF Plagg flew straight into his face. Plagg had wanted to do so many things, simply calling out ladybug wasn't enough for him. No as the god of destruction Plagg now wants to destroy ladybug like how she's destroying his kitten. Fuck being the guardian, she would be taken down. He would make sure of it.
For now he had to take care of his kitten who by the looks of it needs him. His anger and destruction can wait.
"Adrian I need you to breath for me, in and out kitten". "Just like that, your going to be alright".
Getting Adrian to start breathing again properly did take a few minutes. Adrian had so many things he wanted to say but couldn't get out. Is this what he deserves?
His mother dies, his father turns cold and uncaring, being forced to model, barely getting to see or hang with his few friends, now his hero life is going to shit. The mask and cat ears no longer feel welcoming, even his tail/belt feels weighted down. Everything around him is crumbling, fitting for the user of destruction.
"Plagg I-I wh-"
"Shh I know kitten I know, lets get you back to your room". "Do you have anymore Camembert left"?
Pulling out his last piece of the stinky cheese from his pocket, Adrian remains silent. Watching the tiny god finish his snack in seconds, it still amazes him how anyone could stomach raw Camembert. God or no god somethings in this world are just aren't meant to be consumed. By the times plagg was done eating Adrian had made a decision. Heart and spirit broken from the betrayal of ladybug ,tonight Adrian would cry and mourn. His crush on Ladybug completely gone, if she wants to treat him like this then fine.
Starting tomorrow Chat Noir will no longer be ladybug's sidekick, from now on he will protect Paris on his own. He will get the Miraculous back, fix ladybug's mistake, and finally end monarchs reign.
No more empty lies, Paris has suffered long enough from a creep dressed as a butterfly and a former hero. He wasn't sure where or how but deep inside he knows, Monarch will suffer.
Ladybug will be forced to confront her misdeed's and lies, especially about a certain dj and reporter knowing each others secret identities. Something that he was told to never let happen, so much for her own advice.
Rubbing his arm over his face Adrian stands up, both human and kwami know things are going to change. For better or worse. Chat Noir wouldn't let ladybug hurt him again, she also wont EVER get his ring. Over his dead body.
If any indication of how she is as a "partner' now then she probably sucks as a guardian to. She was the one who trusted Félix with the dog Miraculous, something he could've pointed out was a VERY BAD idea!
Plagg remains close to his chosen, stinky cheese long gone. Laying a paw on Adrian's cheek, Plagg has a idea for his chosen. At this point his kitten can't handle much more, nor deserves any of this.
"What are you thinking about kitten"?
Plagg she doesn't care anymore does she?
"No kit, maybe at one point she did but now". "Now she's sinking fast, faster then Atlantis ever could".
"Plagg I cant anymore, I'm tired of being her sidekick when we're supposed to be partner's. "I can feel She un settled the balance, she doesn't let me help her with anything".
"I know kit, I see everything through your eyes when transformed".
"Pushing me away is one thing, but this right now is toxic"." I don't think her priority is stopping monarch anymore, she's more focused on her failures and trying to atone for them".
"Adrian It doesn't matter why she's acting like this, no one hurts one of my kittens and gets away with it"." Idk what's going on with Tikki for letting this continue but this ends now".
"Neither do I, since everyone thinks its a great idea to keep secrets from us".
"Kitten, I promise you this, you will never be alone". "Ill be at your side no matter, unlike a certain bugs cat's are more loyal".
Touched by his kwamis loyalty the feeling of the cataclysm caused by ladybug ease's a bit. But only calling ladybug on her bs will get rid of the feeling.
"Plagg thank you ,for having my back and being the best kwami a guy could ever have".
"Don't look deep into, I know I'm pretty great". "But a few extra pieces of Camembert does go a long way after all".
"Ughh you and that disgusting cheese, you know there's other different kinds of foods all over Paris right"?
"Nothing can ever replace my delectable gooeyness, lets get off of the roof so you can feed me and start planning".

As Chat Noir jumps over each building, Bunnix comes out of her hiding spot. A sad look on her face as she watches Chat jump into the night. The begging of Chat Noir/Adrian's rise and freedom with ladybug/Marinette's spiral and redemption. Everything was going the way it should be, with any luck Alix can simply let nature run its course. She's already had to watch everything unfold once, friendships that were broken, lies were reveled. Sad that Marinette had lied just as much as Lila did. In the end Bunnix couldn't mess with time, the events that would lead up in the next few weeks would change everyone for the better. It just sucks this was the only way to help Marinette and Adrian. With a last look at the direction Chat had gone to Bunnix opens up her burrow, walking in the portal closes. The hero of time had other timelines to watch after all, the whole time is on your side thing doesn't work if your in charge of guarding it.
