Chloe felt bad even asking such a thing. Max had quite literally sacrificed a whole town for her sake. Showing any sort of doubt was just shitty.... But, she needed to know.
"Are you getting tired of me?"
Max turned over to look at the other woman. Chloe was avoiding her gaze, scared of the fallout of asking such a distrusting thing. Max reached out a hand, causing Chloe to flinch slightly, only relaxing when Max gently cupped her cheek.
"Chloe, hey, look at me" the photographer said softly. Despite the fear in her chest and stomach, Chloe slowly lifted her gaze to look at her girlfriend. "I'm not getting tired of you, I promise"
"Okay" Chloe replied quietly. "I'm sorry"
"Don't apologize" Max told her gently. "You can always talk to me if you're worried or anything"
"Thanks"
"No need to thank me, Chloe"
"I love you"
"I love you too"
