Chapter Text
Rumi sat in the back seat of the car, taking her the Sunlight Productions, the company that owns the rights to The Sunlight Sisters’ music, and soon her own.
Right next to her was Celine, well, right next to was a bit of a stretch. She was on the complete opposite side of the car and looking like she wanted to get even further away.
But, instead of dwelling on it, she looked out of the car window. The Honmoon was pulsing, Celine said it meant that she and the two girls who would be the next hunters would soon meet.
That made sense since they were hosting the auditions today for both a rapper and a dancer to make up a new girl group.
She wasn’t really nervous about it. Dancing on a stage, hunting demons, and making the Honmoon golden, she was just fulfilling her purpose in life.
But when the car stopped, she stepped out and walked through the large doors, something set her on edge. She looked down at her outfit, but she saw no patterns showing, nor were any of her defining features.
Gazing around the building, she wasn’t able to see what was causing her this unease. So, without a second thought, she walked right back out and wandered the streets.
She didn’t need to look long before the Honmoon, knowing who she was in search of, began to glow brighter new an alleyway.
Peeking in showed no demons like expected, but rather a short girl with a bucket hat on. She was pacing back and forth frantically while speaking in English.
‘𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴...𝘯𝘦𝘸’ Rumi thought before she walked in.
She fought back a noise of shock as the Honmoon swirled and glowed brightly around the two of them, only getting brighter the closer she got.
‘𝘈 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳!’
Finally, all of those English tutors that Celine forced her to learn from were going to come in handy!
Putting on her most charming face, she strode down the alley with confidence that she didn’t possess.
It seems that it didn’t work at all, seeing as the girl didn’t notice her until she cleared her throat.
“Are you here to audition?” She said in what she hoped was the clearest English possible.
If she weren’t fluent in the language, she would have immediately been overtaken by the avalanche of words coming from the girl. Luckily, after a moment, she seemed to realize this and talk a bit slower.
‘Yes, but I can’t read any of the signs on the buildings, so I don’t know where I’m going. Please tell me you do.”
Rumi nodded before dropping her hood, revealing who she was to the younger girl in front of her.
“Oh my gosh, you’re Rumi.” The smaller girl stopped, seemingly at a complete loss for words.
Giving a slight roll of her eyes, she put her hood back on and made a ‘come here’ motion with her hand.
This new girl quickly started to follow behind her as she was shown to the doors, then the check-in, and finally the long line of other promising rappers.
The purple-haired girl winked at her as she walked away, but not before small arms wrapped around her frame right as she turned around.
Electricity raced up and down her spine and stung her nerves in a way she wasn’t used to. Of course, being in a room full of people, she tried her best to pay it off as just shock and even patted the girl’s arms before she let go.
She let out a sigh of relief as she was freed. A smile graced her lips before she was even able to tell what for, and she smiled back at the small girl, Zoey, as she had just found out at check-in, before walking toward an ‘authorized personnel only’ door.
It led her to a quick flight of stairs before she was up by the control panel in front of a large stage. She sat down in a chair right next to Celine before a text came up on the ex-hunter’s phone.

Rumi had no clue who this ‘Bobby’ was, but he clearly knew his way around if he was organizing the girls about to come in.
‘𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵,’ she thought to herself ‘𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘢 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦?’
