Despite all that he’s surprised sometimes, for just a moment, at how normal it all feels. How mundane—domestic, almost—it is to wake up next to Samira and open his eyes to her still form awake and already watching him, her deep brown eyes glowing almost red with the moonlight they reflect. It’s the same color as the light that spreads over the walls of her apartment when she opens her fridge, rows and rows of blood bags stacked neatly inside it that give it an eerie glow. It had almost made him laugh the first time he’d seen it because how was it that a vampire had a more orderly blood bag organization than every hospital Jack has ever seen from the inside?

Not going to lie, I kinda want to cry with the ending, cause it was just enough, just there and though I want to know more, it’s a perfect ending too, what a beautiful storytelling, thank you so much ♡ !
