   Summary

   Will only notices the hands as they slip off Garret Jacob Hobbs's neck. In the delirium of his own blood and the blood of the young girl dying on him and the blood of the man he just killed, he only notices the shiny cufflinks and the immaculate white fabric before two people tumble to the ground, causing an earthquake that sends Will into another spasm. Now unobscured by Garret Jacob Hobbs's shoulder, Will locks eyes with his psychiatrist.

   "No--" Will chokes out, blood getting onto his lips.

   Hannibal Lecter lays on his stomach atop the man he was shot trying to kill, and he looks straight at Will.

    

   An alternate ending to the pilot in which Hannibal dies but doesn't stay dead.
