I’ve always strived not to leave a footprint, anything that could be traced back to me.
I don’t wanna leave impressions, because I know it would be negative.
You convinced me it could be positive,
You reminded me that I can do good in this world.
You remain a shining beacon of just how much good a person can do,
For that I am eternally grateful.
If there is anyone I want to leave a good impression on, it’s you.
The knowledge that I have done so is enough to keep me going.
Enough to remind me that I don’t have to be afraid to take up space,
Enough to remind me to live a life I can be satisfied with,
A life you can be satisfied with,
Enough to make me strive to leave a good impression,
rather than fearing leaving a bad one.
You have overturned my entire world view,
and for that I can never repay you.
Only might I try all of my life to do so.
