Chapter 1: Prologue: The Fallen Hero

Chapter Text

Optimus could hardly believe the kind of situation he and the others were in. One cycle, they were repairing an abandoned space bridge far off Cybertron; the next, they were attacked by the Leader of the Decepticons, Megatron himself.

The primary reason for the attack was that the Allspark was discovered on the said space bridge. They anticipated taking it back to Cybertron. However, the Decepticons had other plans. Upon finding the Allspark’s energy signal, Megatron had nearly blown up their ship, attacked them and his crew, and had the gall to demand the Allspark as if they would obey him.

He’s not even in the academy anymore, yet here he is face-to-face with Megatron himself.

“Now bring me the AllSpark and I may spare your miserable Autobot lives.”

The Decepticon leader says as he presses his weight on the small Autobot below him.

Optimus only stares at the warlord with disdain, knowing that he would just kill them anyway.

Megatron, seeing that the tiny prime is not cooperating, raises his sword and attempts to strike down the Autobot as he did with many before. Luckily, Optimus counters the attack with his own weapon, hoping to buy himself and his fellow Autobots some time before the brute finishes them off. However, the glow of the Allspark catches the warlord’s attention, allowing Optimus to think of the situation. Looking around for the opportunity, he notices that he and Megatron are near the airlock doors, while the ship is entering the Earth’s atmosphere rapidly.

‘It’s risky, but it’s worth a shot,’ Optimus thinks as he uses his axe to open the airlock doors.

It wasn’t long before Megatron and Optimus were both dragged by rapid winds as a result. Optimus didn’t have time to think about what the Decepticons would do if they found out he killed Megatron, and he attempted to use his axe to hold on to the ship.

He feels Megatron’s servos claw his frame, trying to bring him down with him. Optimus fights off the attempts as they descend deeper and deeper into the hatch. Optimus manages to give the brutal leader a hard kick, ensuring he doesn’t try to get back on the ship.

Only for the leader to grab hold of his foot, making Optimus lose his grip on the axe.

Optimus had no time to process or hear the ship’s medic, Ratchet, call out for him. He could watch as he fell further and further from the ship, down to the planet's surface, with Megatron in tow.

Optimus could only watch as the ship strayed away from his optics, as he felt his frame starting to burn and crack in the atmosphere.

He stares across the space before him, watching his life flash before him.

He can’t help but feel disappointed in himself for thinking he could be more than a repair bot; that he could be a hero…

He hasn’t even done anything worth becoming a hero. He's only let people down.

He let the crew down. He let Sentinel and Elita down. He let Ultra Magnus down. They all must be very disappointed with him. Maybe it was better they hate him.

‘Ultra Magnus was right… being a hero is not in my programming…”

Optimus thinks to himself as he plummets onto the planet’s ground.

Chapter Text

It was another day in Detroit, where birds sang and flowers bloomed as the sun shone upon the people. Among them lived Professor Isaac Sumdac, one of the most renowned robotics engineers and the primary leader of Robotic Industrialization.

On this particular day, there was much to see, a must-see for those wishing to view the professor's success, such as schools, businesses, and anyone just wishing to see Sumdac’s vision of the future. Professor Sumdac had always prided himself on his machines; it’s the whole basis of his company, after all. He built thousands of machines, Robots, and many other kinds of technology in his time. Why, he’s the leading foundation of this new industrial revolution.

The professor guides his tourists out of his company, with half of them genuinely interested in his work and the other half just wanting to see the robots. He answers their questions, explains the history of all his work, when all of a sudden-

“Sparkplug! Get back here, you mangy little fur bot!” a little girl calls out to an approaching robot dog.

The girl was dark-skinned, wearing a yellow outfit, with dark red hair and eyes. This was Sari Sumdac, the professor's young daughter. As she wrestles with the dogbot over her security key, her father sighs at the current mayhem before them. After a while, the dog lets go, causing both Sari and her father to fall over. The crowd either looked uncomfortably at the pair or snickered at the current transaction.

“So, for no robots and this was the only entertaining thing,” a snarky teenage girl whispers. “Seriously, when does this tour start getting good?”

No more than two seconds after that claim, a slim but fit figure begins approaching the crowd.

“Sari! Dad!” the man calls out.

“Oh~ now we are talking.” The girl swoons as the man finally reaches the crowd's view.

The tall, dark-skinned man, no older than 16, with jet black hair and sapphire blue eyes, approaches the professor and the girl with a panicked expression. The man kneels to untangle the mess that became of the Professor and the girl. While he seemed undeniably attractive, he seemed like the kind of person who isn't sure of themselves. This man was none other than Orion Pax Sumdac, the firstborn child of Professor Sumdac.

“Sorry, Dad, I tried to stop them,” Orion says as he lifts Sari off the ground.

“It wasn’t my fault!” the girl retaliates, “It’s Sparkplug! He always thinks my key is a chew toy!”

“Well, maybe you should put your key somewhere high up, rather than leaving it on the side of the table.”

"Oh, you're one to talk, don't act. Sparkplug doesn't take your tools." The professor nudges Orion's shoulder before turning back to the tour group. Getting the hint, Orion promptly places Sari down and straightens up.

"I apologize for the interruption, children," the professor addresses the crowd. "These two are my children; Sari, Orion, what do we say?"

"Good Afternoon, Everyone," Orion flashes a bright smile, "I hope you all are enjoying the tour, and that everything you see will inspire you one day!"

Orion always had an instinct to act carefully and properly. Ever since he was a kid, he has always wanted to seem responsible and sensible, perhaps a bit too much. It was such a bad habit that even his own father had to tell he doesn't need to act properly all the time. Sari, on the other hand, is a different story.

"Anybody got a pair of scissors?" Sari asks as she pulls her gum off her face. "Never mind."

The crowd stares in disgust as Professor Sumdac sighs.

The best way to describe his kids was in black and white. Orion, even as a child, took things a little too seriously and always acted more precociously than he needed. Sari, however, was a lot more sprightly and upbeat than Orion was. Sumdac often wondered if he parented Orion differently from Sari to cause such behavior. However, the Professor is quickly snapped out of his thoughts when Sari answers a seemingly ordinary question with an overly personal answer.

"I apologize once again for the interruptions," Sumdac butts in, "but my daughter must return to her studies now."

"No, not the tutor bot!" Sari whines as she is dragged away by said tutor bot.

"How about you, Orion? It'd be nice for you to join the tour!"

"Well, that would be great, Dad, but I'll have to decline," Orion says. "I've gotta work on Roller right now, but I'm almost finished with the new upgrade."

"Very well then, good luck!"

Soon, Orion and Issac Sumdac part ways as they head their respective routes. Since Orion is an engineer in training, He was given his own lab to work on his own projects. Roller is his biggest project yet. When he got his lab, the first successful idea was a military target practice droid that could be used for tank training, stealth, and just general target practice. The only difference between a Roller and a Regular tank is that the gun could be interchangeable.

Plus, Orion was thinking of joining the Marines, so it works out.

As Orion heads to the lab where Roller is, he makes a sudden pause as he nears his father's personal lab. If there's one rule that his father has for them, it's to never enter the labs without permission. Now this shouldn't be a problem, since Orion is just going to pass by the lab to get to his own.

Yet, somehow, for some reason, He always gets an uneasy feeling when he walks by. His mind starts telling him to give mixed signals. One part tells him to go inside and see what's in there. Another part feels that whatever is in there isn't something he's gonna want to see.

But Orion pushes through and just walks past it like always.

He doesn’t know how this feeling started, but it always made him uncomfortable.

But he doesn’t have time to think about that, though; he has to finish Roller.

Orion was finishing the engine on Roller when there was a knock on his lab doors.

“Come in,” Orion calls out as he wipes his face.

The door swings open to reveal Sari, smirking evilly while she holds something behind her back.

“Oh no, what are you doing, Sari?” Orion groans.

“Oh, nothing, just couldn’t help but notice that you haven’t had a break yet,” Sari replies, “I guess you take on dad more than I thought.”

“Oh, please, I take breaks.”

“Shoe tying breaks.”

“I only have an hour until I’m done for today. We can hang out after.”

“Really, not even for… this!”

It was then that Sari pulled out the very thing that Orion couldn’t resist: burgers from Burger Bot. Upon seeing this, Orion couldn’t help but use his favorite burger place against him. But resisted. Because no matter how juicy the burgers were, how perfectly salted the fries were, or how refreshing the drinks were, he wasn’t gonna give in. Besides, he wasn’t that hungry.

*Grouuug*

Okay, maybe take a little break.

“Oh, alright! I guess could use something to eat,” Orion moans as he grabs the bag. “But next time, I’m gonna get a cream soda and not give you some.”

“Fair enough!” Sari happily skips.

As the two siblings continued to eat their respective food, Sari remembered something.

"Oh, hey, Orion," Sari spoke as he paused his own meal. "I actually passed all my courses for this week, and I'm finished testing on 3 of them. I got all A's."

"That's great, Sari, good to know that you're not slacking off on your studies," Orion replies.

"I can be no-nonsense and uptight as you, but that's not why I'm bringing it up!"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, remember our arrangement?"

Orion thinks for a moment before it finally hits him. That arrangement. Orion had promised Sari, a few weeks ago, that if she could finish 3 tests in one week, then he would let her add one feature to Roller. Now, it wasn't that he doubted his sister; he just underestimates how willing she can be.

"Well, I said you could, so I'm a man of my word," Orion crumpled the remaining papers and bags and threw them away. "Come on, show what you got."

"Yes!" Sari jumps up from her seat to follow her brother. "Once again, Sari Sumdac outwitted her bossy older brother!"

"Ha ha, hilarious... Just be sure whatever feature you add doesn't derive Rollers' intended purpose too much, okay?"

"Come on, I'm you're sister, I know how much this project means to you."

Their conversation is abruptly ended by a loud bang, followed by people screaming.

Chapter Text

Officer Fanzone had just entered his car after getting a meal from the burger bot when he got a code red to head to the Sumdac Robots Plant. Mourning that his meal will have to wait, he puts on his own police siren and heads over to the designated area.

Arriving at the scene, the situation is revealed to be the classic experiment-gone-wrong case. A giant cockroach, made from nanotechnology, was causing havoc by consuming everything metal in its path. SWAT team officers surrounded the monster, preventing it from moving forward, but this didn’t lower concerns. The plant’s alarm and the smoke filling the air only escalated the situation, making many people outside worried.

“This is why I hate machines,” Fanzone grumbles under his breath. “Testing-...Will someone get me a blowhorn that works, for crying out loud?”

A SWAT unit gives him a spare blowhorn.

“Alright, SWAT units, drag that thing away from civilians! Emergency crews, let's get those people evacuated now!”

While the SWAT teams took care of the monster, emergency crews and firefighters began evacuating the people in the building. Medics were ordered to ensure no one in the building received life-threatening injuries. Luckily, no one was gravely injured, and everyone was able to evacuate the building.
Well, almost everyone.

“But my children are still in there!” Sumdac cries, struggling against the firefighters. “SARI! ORION!"

Unfortunately, neither of his kids could hear him, nor did they know what had happened. Sari and Orion walked through the ruins of the facility, confused about what caused this horrible tragedy.

“Sparkplug!” Sari calls out. “Sparkplug!”

“Huh, there’s a huge hole in the Nanotech department,” Orion comments. “Maybe whatever they were working on exploded or something.”

“Whatever it was, it caused a huge mess! I can’t find Sparkplug!”

“Aren’t you curious about what happened? For all we know, it could have made a monster of some kind.”

“I don’t know Orion, I just wanna get Sparkplug and get out of here. Here Sparky! I got a nice, tasty security key for you!”

“If he takes your key, I’m not helping you get it back.”

Meanwhile, the authorities tried many things to take down the Cockroach creature, but guns, tasers, and not even water hoses could take the monster down. Fazone grumbled under his breath about how much he hates robots.

“Bring out the big guns!” Fanzone calls out. “On my signal!”

SWAT units all brought their missile guns and began aiming at the creature.

“Captain Fanzone, wait,” Professor Sumdac tries to intervene. “You don’t want to attack this creature!”

“Watch me…FIRE!”

The missile guns fired and went straight through the roach monster's skin. At first, it didn’t seem like it did anything, until the creature exploded, causing its remains to splatter across the area. At first, it seemed like a victory, until the remains began combining, with a few remains falling into the lake. Soon, the roach monster came back in a much bigger form. Meanwhile, a small part of the roach monster sinks deeper and deeper into Lake Erie and into a ship below.

INTRUDER ALERT. INTRUDER ALERT

Sudden alarm fills the ship's halls as the bots in the stasis pods are forced awake. The bots slowly exit their stasis pods, trying to get their servos in barrings. After regaining their composure, they think back on their situation.

“How long were we in stasis?” the large bot, Bulkhead, wonders.

“And what's with the alarm?” the yellow bot, Bumblebee, adds.

Black and yellow bot, Prowl turns his helm and finds a strange specimen crawling nearby.

“Probably something to do with-” Prowl hardly got any time to finish before the creature latched onto his arm.

Luckily, the ship's medic, Ratchet, uses his electromagnets to grab the creature before it can do any harm.

“Whatever it is, it definitely has circuitry,” Ratchet says. “And something else…”

Prowl goes over to one of the unused stasis pods, feeling unerved by the lack of their 5th member. When Prowl began to feel it, the others also got the same feeling.

"Do you think he's out there?" Bulkhead asks.

"I think a better question is if he's still alive," Bumblebee replies. "Between him falling and Megatron being out there, I'm kinda worried."

"Well, there's only one way to find out," Prowl says. "Ratchet, you're the co-captain of the ship. What should we do?"

Ratchet only grumbles, slightly hiding the worry hidden in his frown. The war medic walks over to the control system, reactivating Telatraan-1.

"Telatraan-1, scan the area, and check whatever is happening up there." Ratchet orders.

Just on Ratchet's command, the ship sends out a drone. It wasn't long before they received the footage of the outside. The footage revealed a large, organic abomination consuming what they think are other autobots and other smaller specimens.

"Looks like those guys could use some help." Bumblebee comments.

"I don't know about that," Prowl gets closer to the screen. "Revealing ourselves might prove risky in case the Decepticons are watching."

"But we can't just let that monster eat everything," Bulkhead adds.

"Alright, we'll just scan the lifeforms on the planet," Ratchet groans. "We'll take on their appearance, that way the Decepticons have a harder time detecting us."

Given its secondary order, the drone scans the vehicle on the surface. It chooses specific details to ensure the scanned 'life forms' are compatible with their frames.

"All units fall back. We will engage with unmanned drones only." Fanzone orders.

Soon, all Police, SWAT, Ambulance, and firefighting vehicles fall back to a much safer distance. However, 3 of them stayed behind. Which Fanzone noticed and became annoyed with. Fanzone tries to get all the drivers' attention, only to find that the vehicles (and his car for some reason) are driving themselves. The autobots, meanwhile, try to communicate with 'their fellow bots' but receive no reply, while the situation escalates. As the police drones get closer to one of the driverless cars, which was caught in the monster's tentacles, a robot yet expressive voice is heard asking for help; the tentacles are soon removed by the car, similar to Fanzones.

In the corner of their optics, they see 3 figures running across the area. The 2 smaller ones were fighting over something, while the taller one followed close behind.

"Get back here! Sparkplug!" The smaller creature yells at the Robot. "Sparkplug! Let go!"

"Told you he was gonna take it again." The taller one comments with a smug smirk.

"What are those things?" Bulkhead asks, watching the mayhem.

"I think they might be pets!" Bumblebee guesses.

"Why would a four-legged bot want pets that big?"

Wanting to know what exactly was going on, the two drove up to the pair and got a closer look. As they did, the small creature managed to get the item that it was fighting for with the bot. Meanwhile, the taller one was quick to notice the 2 driving up to them and pulled the smaller back.

"Hi, little creatures, my name is Bulkhead!" The green truck greets the pair. "Did you two lose your owner bots?"

The two stared at the cars that seemingly had no drivers in them. The taller one just stared at them, unmoving and focused, as if this were just some hallucination. The smaller one, however, screamed, startling the Bulkhead and Bumblebee, before running away from them both. Meanwhile, the other just stood frozen like a statue.

"That thing must be armed with some kind of high-frequency sonic weapon!" Bumblebee winces.

"I think the smaller one got scared," Bulkhead says, before going after the little one. "Don't worry, little creature, I'm not gonna hurt you!"

"Well, since you're not doing anything, hop aboard! I'll take you to your owner!"

The bigger organism barely had any time to react before Bumblebee reached over and placed him inside. As Bulkhead attempts to reassure the smaller one, the creature gets caught by the monster, making it panic more.

"What is that thing?" Prowl rolls up.

"We don't know, but it might hurt it!" Bulkhead begs. "We have to help it!"

Bumblebee starts feeling a tingling sensation before freeing the other creature within him. The entity, recovering from its shock, turns to see the other dangling in the air by the monster. It starts to panic and almost runs up to the monster, before Bumblebee drives up to it.

"Hey, don't worry, little buddy!" Bumblebee says. "We'll save your friend, you might wanna stand back though."

The creature looks at them, confused, but quickly changes in awe as it sees them transform from the vehicles they were to their true forms.

Professor Sumdac stares through his cyber-binoculars, finding out that the civilian entangled by the creature was Sari.

"Sari! That's my daughter!" He cries. "Captain Fanzone, you must send someone in to rescue my-"

As Captain Fanzone turns his attention, he stares in awe that the cars in front of the creature have turned into giant robots, more advanced than his own.

Orion could not believe his eyes. The talking cars weren't really haunted, which was his first assumption, but rather humongous, alien, robotic life-forms. His fear then turned into shock, then his shock became wonder, and soon... curiosity and relief. Sari, still screaming for help, stares down to see that talking cars have turned into giant, superhero-like robots, much to her amusement.

Then they begin to attack the roach monster. Prowl throws his nunchucks at it, while Bulkhead hits it with his wrecking ball, causing it to lose its grip on Sari. She would have been killed had it not been for Bumblebee catching her and escorting her and her brother somewhere safer.

"Hi, I'm Bumblebee." He greets the two.

"I'm Sari," The girl says

"Uhm, my name is Orion Pax," Orion replies, dazed.

"Nice to meet you two, and no need to be sorry, I like my name!"

"No, I mean my name is-..."

"What are you?"

"I'm an autobot..."

As the trio talked, Fanzone turned to Sumdac.

"One of yours?" He queries

"No, but there is something oddly familiar about them," the professor replies.

"Not familiar enough to take any chances with your kids?" Fanzone turns his attention back to the trio. "All drone units, engage the yellow robot. But don't harm the kids."

On command, the drones head over to Bumblebee's location and begin shooting at him. The yellow Autobot manages to dodge the bullets, but is clearly struggling to make sure none of them get hurt.

"I'd love to stick around and chat, but I gotta go!" Bumblebee tells them.

He places them down gently, brings out his stingers, and overloads the drones one by one. He flashes the siblings a quick smile before running to the battle.

"Whoa, a real alien robot!" Sari exclaims, "Can you believe Orion?! We- Orion? Where are you going!?"

"To the top level!" Orion replies, running to the elevator.

"The top level wh- well don't go without me!"

"Then come on, hurry up!"

The pair watched the bots fight against the roach monster from above, cheering them on. However, after a while, it became clear that the monster was starting to get the upper hand, making them a bit worried. The large green one and the dark one were both consumed by the creature, and when all hope seemed lost, Bumblebee sped through the rooftop and managed to destroy the creature for good.

The two stared in awe before going down to thank the Autobots. Both ran up to the yellow car, believing it to be Bumblebee.

"Bumblebee, is this you?" Orion asks.

"Sari? Orion?" the yellow bot turns to them.

"OhmygoshitwassoamazingI'mfreakingoutyouweresocool..." Sari starts rambling to no end towards the bot.

"Okay, okay, Sari, Sari, take a chill pill," Orion tries to pull her back.

"Sari, take it easy," Bumblebee says.  "My friend's hurt real bad. I have to go."

"Oh, I'm sorry. Go ahead." Orion almost backs away until Sari runs up to Bumblebee and hops inside.

"But we wanna know more about," Sari beckons. "Can we come with you? pleasepleaseplease! I wanna help!!"

"I do too, this time for that," Bumblebee replies before gently placing back out.

"You heard him, Sari, let's get back to dad..."

Unfortunately for both Orion and Bumblebee, Sari was rather insistent and kept coming back to Bumblebee.

"Bumblebee, come on!" Bulkhead calls.

"You can trust this face, right?" Sari puts on her most innocent face ever. Apparently, it was enough for Bumblebee to cave.

"Alright, you can come with just try to keep it down." Bumblebee says, "and don't touch anything."

"Yes!"

"What about you, Orion? You coming?"

Orion contemplated the offer. On one hand, he didn't want his father and the police to worry about him; on the other, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and someone had to make sure Sari didn't cause too much trouble. Weighing his options, he finally made his decision.

"Scoot over, Sari," Orion enters the car. "Someone's gotta make sure you're safe."

Bumblebee takes Orion and Sari down into the lake and onto the ship. Once inside, Bumblebee takes the twins with him to check on Prowl, staying in his alt-mode to keep them hidden. The Sumdac kids can't help but take a peek at the situation, to which Bumblebee tries to keep them hidden. Keyword: tries.

Orion tries to listen in on the situation while Sari tries to get a closer look.

"What's happening?" Sari tiptoes on her seat. "I can't see."

"Shh," Orion whisper-shouts, pulling her down. "Get down. You're gonna get us caught."

"Oh, like you're one to talk, you're eavesdropping!"

"Am not!"

"Will you keep down?" Bumblebee pulls them both back onto the seats

Just then, Ratchet and Bulkhead turn their heads to the smaller bot. Bumblebee felt his spark signature rise while also trying to keep the duo quiet. However, their bickering soon turned into a quiet fight, making it harder to act natural.

"Will you keep down...loading information? You know, to help fix Prowl..."

"That nanobot creature scramble your circuits?" Bulkhead asks.

Just then, Sari kicks open the door during her and Orion's brawl.

"NO-... I mean, no, my circuits didn't get scrambled. But thanks for asking!"

He tries to get the two to stop, but it only escalates until the two accidentally hit the car horn. The Autobots began to cover the audio.

"Sari! Uh, sorry I-I must've had some bad motor oil." He lies.

"Argh, can you just put a muffle on and transform back?" Ratchet says, annoyed.

"Right, on it!"

Just then, Bumblebee drives over to a nearby vent, ejects the duo into the vent, transforms back to his robot mode, and meets back up with the others.

The two slid down the vent before reaching a closed-off room. Both groan in regret and slight pain.

"Urgh, if the place wasn't all metal..." Orion complains.

They couldn't complain for long, however, due to a mysterious bright light shining upon them. The light seemed to come from a box holding a giant orb of electricity of some kind. Unbeknownst to them, this was none other than the Allspark, the most powerful item in the Autobots' home planet. The siblings stared in awe, for different reasons. To Sari, it was something surreal; To Orion, it was... familiar. It seemed that the Allspark took notice of them, too, promptly scanning the pair. It then relayed strange visions to the two, either belonging to the future or the past; in return, it took information revealing the origins of their own species.

This probably would have been very concerning to ordinary people, but not to these two.

"Huh, that was weird," Orion says, completely unfazed by the bizarre situation.

"I know, I think we just had a conversation." Sari adds, equally unfazed.

Just then, it flashes two separate beams at the kids. The beam towards Sari, aimed at her security key, while to one at Orion, seemed to be placing something on his chest and arms. Once finished, Sari's key had a different shape, while Orion seemed to have some kind of armor on him.

"If you mess this up, you owe me my security deposit." Sari threatens.

"What is this doing?" Orion notices a small light on his right arm.

Just then, a bright flash floods their eyes as the visible electric wave currents begin taking form before turning into an electric axe. The axe swiftly falls into Orion's hand as the pair watch in awe.

"What?! It gave you a cool weapon?! Lucky..." Sari pouts.

Just then, Sari and Orion are picked up by the gentle giant himself, Bulkhead.

"It's you two, again," Bulkhead states. "How did you guys get on the ship?"

"They followed me home," Bumblebee explains. "You think Ratchet would let us keep them?"

"Uh, actually, I would rather not be 'kept.'" Orion panics. " That's very dehumanizing."

Just then, Bulkhead and Bumblebee get a comm from Ratchet to head back over to him. Carrying the siblings in tow, they reach the room to find Ratchet struggling to keep Prowl stable.

"Circuit damage is too extensive, I can't keep 'em stable!" Ratchet yelps, once again trying to repair him.

Suddenly, Sari's key began to shine intensely before dragging her towards the ship's medical table. But due to her small size, Bumblebee had to pick her up and place her atop Prowl. Sari gets the hint that the key is trying to cure Prowl, so she brings it closer to his chassis. The key begins to change shape to fit into the small port inside. Once inserted, the key begins to repair the damaged circuitry before closing up the hole. Prowl slowly rises as Ratchet stares in disbelief.

"That is... quite the cure," Prowl says.

"Does your species usually do that?" Bumble asks.

"I don't even know how I did that," Sari replies.

"At this point, nothing surprises me," Orion groans as he is lifted by Bulkhead. "This day has way more action than anything I've ever experienced."

"Well, it's been a crazy Solar cycle for us, too." Bumblebee smiles at the two.

"Solar cycle's not over yet..." Ratchet turns to the nearby screens, revealing helicopters floating above their base, as if they're looking for something... or someone.

"...I think our dad is looking for us." Orion stares at the screen.

As the Helicopters fly through the air, an ambulance, or Ratchet, drives out of the water and releases Sari and Orion.

"Don't worry, humans don't usually blow up things with those symbols on the side," Sari assures Ratchet.

"Really? And here I thought they made me an easier target." The medic replies.

The police force begins to surround the crew, more specifically, the Autobots.

"Put hands where I can see them," Fanzone yells through his megaphone.

"Why do they want us to do that?" Bumblebee asks.

"It's to make sure you're unarmed," Orion tells them. "And makes you less of a threat."

So they do just that, one by one, lifting the arms to appear less threatening. Unfortunately, this causes them to appear more imposing due to their large stature and makes them seem like they were going to jump them. Sari, sensing that this only furthered the authorities' distrust, attempts to tell them that they mean no harm to humans. One officer, however, doesn't buy her story and prepares to shoot one of the missile guns at the Autobots. Orion notices and yells as an attempt to stop it before the officer shoots anyway.

Just then, time slows down for Orion. The air feels lighter, and he feels a tingling sensation in his hand. He notices the panic in Captain Fanzone and his father. He notices Sari jumping up in surprise as the Autobots all turn to the rocket. He looks down and notices the same axe he was given by the Allspark. He doesn't know what's happening until...

'Throw the axe,' a voice whispers.

'What' Orion thinks.

'Throw it!' it urges.

Looking up at the missile and seeing slow panic sinking in the Autobots' faces, Orion puts a heavy swing before launching the axe straight towards the rocket. Suddenly, time returns to its normal pace as the axe approaches the rocket at rapid speed. Cyan lighting begins to circulate the axe before it takes an electric impact on the rocket. Not only countering the attack, but also destroying it in one shot. What remains is a cyan voltaic force field that keeps the debris from affecting everyone in the area before finally disappearing. Everyone, including Orion, stood there, mouths agape at what just happened. Orion looks back down to find that the axe is back in his hands. It seems like the axes can come back to him at any time.

"..." Sari stared before pouting once more. "Again, why do you get the cool stuff?!"

"I literally did that on gut feeling, and you're concerned about that?!" Orion turns to her. "Besides, you have a key that can heal robots, don't be picky."

"Sari, Orion!" Professor Sumdac runs up to the kids. "Thank goodness you two are okay."

"Lower your weapons," Fanzone commands before turning to the rebel officer. "And you, I wish to see you in my office tomorrow!"

"It's okay, guys, you can put you're hands down now!" Sari says as they all lower their arms.

The siblings turn to their father.

"So can we keep them?"

Notes:

The repair crew has been with each other a lot longer than in the canon, and forms the bond way before their crash.

Originally, Orion was supposed to bring an anti-tank rifle during the nanobot roach monster fight, but I thought it was a bit early for him to start becoming feral
