The Prisoner's Confession

Summary:

AKA “Who are you, and what have you done with Kris?”

The Zeroth Hero. The Prisoner, Caged and Seeking Absolution.

Chapter 1: Late to Bed, Early to Rise

Chapter Text

The crackling voice from the phone made Kris shiver, but not so much so as the cold, rainy night air against their skin. With the Soul still held fast inside the birdcage, the chill easily penetrated the gaping void in Kris’s chest. As much as Kris wanted to follow Susie out to wherever she was going, whether it be Castle Town, or wherever else, Kris’s Promise, coupled with the unbearable cold spearing right through to their heart, made Kris decide against it.

It was around that time, in the wee hours, that the Soul’s influence seemed to diminish, like it had last night at the Shelter door. A time when it was safe to return the red Soul to its proper place in Kris’s body. It didn’t even move when the rusty cage was opened.

Shoving the crimson heart back into their body was no easier than it was the first time. Like forcing a red-hot iron into an open wound. And Kris had no sooner collapsed into bed… not even bothering to get under the blankets. The exhaustion from going soulless that day, the multiple dark worlds, and the battle against a Titan, all combined, caught up to Kris, and they fell into the depths of sleep in no time at all.

===================

“Can anyone hear me? Help…”

“I can’t see anything… it’s dark… so dark…”

“I don’t know where I am…”

“I want to cry…”

“. . .   B u t   I   h a v e   n o   e y e s . . .”

===================

The sun only barely peeked over the horizon, its yellow rays held back by the remaining rainclouds, casting blue light in through Kris’s window… but that’s not what woke them.

“It’s a beautiful day outside.” An unwelcome voice said, standing defiantly at Kris’s window. “Birds are singing, flowers are blooming…” Seeing Sans invade the one place they had left irked Kris beyond belief… a rage that the Soul was quick to capitalize on.

“On days like this… guys like you…” Kris began… “...should be burning in hell.” And a frigid gale erupted from below, and Sans backed up, seeing Kris’s eyes, only briefly unveiled, and now seemingly glowing like crimson flames.

“Uhh… hey, if this is about last night…” Sans began. “Yeah, I get it. We could have been quieter. Your friend gave us quite the earful abou-”

Leave.” Kris sat up. “If you don’t… you’re gonna have a bad time.

===================

Sans was long gone, having wisely taken the nearest shortcut out of the Dreemurr Residence.

But Kris, getting out of bed, would soon come to regret their brief alignment with the red Soul. The strings, the ones only Kris could see, seemed to bind their wrists and ankles even more tightly than ever. Just as yesterday and days before, the Soul made Kris march all across the room, examining every little thing.

{You see the morning sun shining through a raincloud.}

{Nothing new in your dresser. As usual.}

{Your bed. The Susie Prize glitters unashamedly atop the bare shelf.}

{The stain may be gone. But the memory is still there. Did you really wash it all away?}

{A rusty birdcage. One of the hinges is missing a screw. It won’t hold forever.}

{No money left… at least it was good for something.}

{Your brother’s bed. No one else’s.}

{The computer is turned off. Everything felt peaceful for a moment.}

Out the door… and into the hall. As expected, the Soul took Kris’s body on a detour towards the mirror. From outside the Master Bedroom door, Toriel could be heard as full-on Snoriel, as she slept like a log from last night’s revelry. But soon, the teenage human stood in front of the mirror, staring into their reflection.

{Is it really you?}

Thankfully, the Soul had had enough of these distractions, and moved on down the stairs. But as soon as Kris stood in the kitchen… the Soul stopped moving their body. For… an uncomfortably long time. Kris glanced back and forth, wondering why their Soul had stopped issuing orders.

“Well?” Kris muttered… before realizing that their body suddenly felt loose. Kris could suddenly move more freely, despite the Soul still being in their body! They didn’t understand why, but were at least thankful for this respite, and had no sooner gone directly for the fridge. The Soul never seemed to do a good job of keeping Kris fed, and they weren’t about to spend another day on an empty stomach.

Little did Kris know, that their ensuing breakfast feast was what the Soul intended on the whole time. But, at least that ketchup bottle was gone.

Chapter 2: The Visitation

Chapter Text

Kris’s moments of freedom did not last, as they soon found themselves outside the house, with the Soul firmly back in the driver’s seat. The air was crisp and cool, with the hustle and bustle of the festival preparations a short walk from the Dreemurr Residence.

Today was the big day. And Kris’s face bore a smile… a smile that wasn’t their own.

But wherever Kris was hoping to go today, the Soul had other plans. Taking a hard right, Kris’s body steered directly towards the ornate gates of the Holiday Estate. And thankfully for Kris, they were no stranger to climbing over those gates… and the climbing training in the Dark Sanctuary really came in handy…

===================

The air fryer let out a chime, and Noelle was quick to retrieve her slice of Eggbake from it. A festive breakfast for a festive girl, especially considering that today was the day of the Festival! The doe could hardly contain her excitement. Mainly because a certain purple dinosaur girl would be taking her…

But a combination of the doorbell ringing, and the bite of breakfast casserole nearly burning her tongue off, shook Noelle out of her thoughts.

“Cheezums… who’d be at the door THIS early?” Noelle grumbled.

Noelle’s eyes widened as she saw what greeted her at the door. “Kris? …gosh, you’re up early!” Kris glanced away, rubbing the back of their head. “I… guess I slept well last night.”

Noelle tilted her head curiously. Kris’s bangs were parted somewhat. Noelle hadn’t seen Kris’s eyes shown off like this in years! “Krismas getting a good night’s sleep? Faha, it must be the end of the world!” Surprisingly, Kris chuckled a bit with her.

But suddenly, Kris stood up a bit straighter. “Noelle… before we go to the festival… there’s something I want to talk with you about. Privately.” Noelle was taken aback at this, but soon nodded. “Uhh, sure. But if this is a prank, you’re getting dunked on, Kris!” Kris smiled. “Thanks Noelle…” And suddenly…

“Ahh!” Noelle yelped as she was suddenly seized by a hug! Another thing Kris hadn’t done in years! “Okay, who are you, and what have you done with Kris?” Noelle laughed. But suddenly, Kris’s posture stiffens somewhat. And it didn’t go unnoticed by Noelle. “Uhh… did I say something wrong?” The two of them go upstairs in an awkward silence. Noelle was soon on guard.

This could be the mother of all pranks… but her gut told her that something else was up. Something Noelle had first noticed 3 days ago, and every day since.

Chapter 3: When Things Get Weird…

Chapter Text

Noelle sat upon the excessively-long couch in her room, and patted the cusion immediately to her right.

“Uhh… can I sit on the other side instead?” Kris asked, strangely nervous. “Uhh… sure?” Noelle’s confusion was brief, but she paid no further mind, scooting to the right. Kris soon sat to Noelle’s left, and she couldn’t help but notice their posture.

Kris sat straight, where they would normally slouch into whatever ungodly pose they found the most comfortable. And Noelle couldn’t put her finger on it, but, something about Kris seemed a bit more… boyish… than usual.

“Something wrong?” Kris suddenly interrupted Noelle’s thoughts. “Oh, uhh, nothing! Nothing.” Noelle straightened her posture, shaking off her nerves. “So, uhh… what did you want to talk about, Kris?”

Kris sighed, composing their thoughts. “I… haven’t been feeling entirely myself lately… and sometimes, I feel like I’m… intruding where I’m not welcome.”

“Kris, that’s not true! You’re always welcome here.” Noelle protested. “And… you can always talk to me if you’re feeling down… you haven’t, lately. And I’ve been… hoping you would for a long time. N-not that I wanted you to feel down or anything!”

“I get it, Noelle… thanks.” Kris didn’t even look at her.

Something wasn’t right here. The gears were turning in Noelle’s head. Kris NEVER opened up about their feelings like this. Nor did they show any open affection to anyone. Not even Susie, their newfound bestie! All of this, combined with what Noelle had been noticing that week… it was time to get to the bottom of this.

“Kris… what aren’t you telling me?” Noelle asked, focusing.

The teenage human huffed, steeling themselves for the worst. “If… you had a friend who was… being made to do things against their will…” Kris tensed at their own words… “...and they were helpless to do anything about it… what would you do?”

Noelle scooted towards Kris nervously… “...okay, I’ll bite. Who is making you do things, Kris?” There is a moment of silence… and then…

Me.

===================

The voice didn’t merely come from Kris’s mouth… but seemed to reverberate from everywhere. The lights flickered, and a chilly gust blew through the room, carrying the scent of petrichor, though it wasn’t a roaring gale, like what Noelle imagined it could have been. But these facts didn’t make her any less scared.

“K… Kris?” She squeaked.

Kris… is on sabbatical right now…” Noelle let out a brief yelp as she scooted away from Kris.

<That voice…> She thought… <What… is that voice? And… where have I heard it before?> Her heart raced… as she saw Kris’s eyes, now glowing like scarlet fireplaces. <It’s like… something out of a nightmare… I’m dreaming… right?!>

You’re not dreaming.

Noelle’s breath caught in her throat. “H-huh? What are you talking about? I didn’t… say anything!” Kris suddenly turned their whole body away from Noelle…

... … that’s right… you didn’t.

Noelle began to tremble… but something was off. Why wouldn’t Kris look at her? Facing her fear, Noelle began to scoot back towards Kris… or whoever this was… and looked at his face. And what Noelle saw surprised her.

[Yes, the shift to He/Him is supernaturally diagetic. Go with it.]

Noelle had anticipated many things. A sneer of villainous triumph… a smirk of smug satisfaction… or a glare of hatred… or even a cold look of complete detachment and cruelty.

But not this…

On his face was a look wracked with guilt and shame. The doe’s eyes widened at the sight of his face… as if whoever was looking through Kris’s eyes couldn’t even bear to look at her…

<...Wh… what? I don’t understand…>

That’s because I haven’t explained yet.

Noelle shrieked again, reminded of her pressing situation. “Wh… hey! …I didn’t say anything!” She backed off. <Don’t tell me… that’s impossible… they didn’t just hear… my thoughts!>

...I’m sorry… but I heard.

Noelle began to hyperventilate… but before she could scream, Kris rushed up to her and covered her mouth. “Please don’t freak out!” Kris said, a pleading look on his face.

After a beat… Noelle’s vocal cords emitted a stifled whining noise. At least it wasn’t a scream…

Chapter 4: A Lighter Reflection

Notes:

This took me an awful long time to figure out how to PROCEED with... but I hope it turned out alright.

Chapter Text

Noelle closed her eyes…

<If you can hear me… say… red, or green.> “Green.

<If you can hear me… say blue, or white…> “White.

Noelle opened her eyes again, now truly scared… “Oh… oh crumpets… you really CAN hear my thoughts!” Kris raised his hands, defensively. “Not all of them! I swear!” With that, Noelle’s terror gave way to confusion.

I can only hear thoughts that you direct to me… or if you think them loudly enough.

“Then… you… can’t tell what I’m thinking right now?” Noelle asked, tilting her head.

Unless you let me. And… I’d rather not ask that of you…

Noelle drew a deep breath, and spoke again, with a touch more boldness. “Alright, you little krampus. Who are you? And what have you done with Kris?”

Kris sighed. “Kris is right here. I promise. They can hear and see all of this.

The idea of Kris being locked inside their own body made all of this worse. With her initial shock having passed, Noelle renewed her confrontation. “Okay, now I see what this is, bodysnatcher.” Noelle’s disdain made Kris wince… “Now what is your evil plan?”

Kris hung his head in shame.

My evil plan? … well, I’ll tell you. It’s to help around where I am needed, to brighten peoples’ days, and maybe make some friends along the way.

Noelle blinked a few times. “...huh?” And she shook her head. “What’s so evil about that? No way. Nice try, mister, but you’re not pulling one over on this deer.”

...I know you think I’m up to something sinister. And I haven’t given you sufficient reason to doubt that. But I never asked for this. For any of this!

Noelle’s hostility lessened. “Wh… what do you mean?” Kris turned towards Noelle again, but still didn’t look her in the eyes.

It’s complicated… and I don’t know all the details about how I first showed up… but, I wasn’t given a choice. I didn’t want to possess Kris. It all just… happened… before I was able to do anything about it. And since then… I was just trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

Kris’s arm was starting to twitch… as Kris was starting to strain, keeping tears at bay.

All I ever tried to do was help… to be a good person. To get by without hurting anyone. But… no matter what I did, I always ended up hurting someone. And that someone… is Kris

I’m sorry…

Noelle took a moment to process all of this.

“I… uhh, wow… that’s… a lot to take in…” Noelle muttered. “But… out of everyone… why Kris?”

I just said… it wasn’t my decision. If it were up to me… I would have just been… me.

The deer girl furrowed her brow. “You… then… since you’re not Kris… who are you? Do you have a name?”

...no. Not anymore. It was taken from me.

Kris’s arm twitched again.

But I’m not Kris. I never was, and I never could be. …and it was wrong of me to pretend I was. And throughout it all, you were the only one to notice that something was up.

<Nobody else knew?> She thought, disheartened by the notion, before she focused.

Noelle straightened her posture, and took Kris’s hands into hers. “Look at me.” He wouldn’t, his head still hung. “I said LOOK at me!” Noelle’s firmness caused Kris to gasp and obey, looking her dead in the eyes. What worked on Kris still worked on this… other guy.

“Look… you were scary at first.” Noelle began. “Honestly… who isnt? I even used to be scared of Santa Claus. But you probably already know that.” Kris gave a sheepish nod. “But, beyond the… big, otherworldly voice you have… if you’re telling the truth, then… well, I’m willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.”

The room was starting to become warm again. “After all, other than possessing my childhood friend…you haven’t really done anything to get on my Naughty List…”

Does this mean… we can be friends too?

Noelle weighed her options… but Kris was quick to provide a very compelling argument. In the form of pleading puppy-dog eyes.

“Oh, what the heck… might as well try.”

Noelle’s brief giggle was interrupted by her heart practically melting at the sight of the goofy smile that had crossed Kris’s face.

Thank you…!

Chapter Text

“Kris” clenched his fists in happiness.

Noelle… you have no idea how relieving this is… you knew from Day 1 that I was around… and now I don’t have to pretend anymore.

“Well, I didn’t really know. I just suspected, is all.” Noelle shrugged.

You know Kris THAT well, huh? So much for ‘just neighbors’, am I right?

“Hey, what’s that supposed to mean?”

Ehh, nothing much.” He teased.

“Hey, don’t think you can pull a Kris-style schtick on me, you… uhh…” Noelle stammered a bit. “Okay, seriously. What’s your name?”

Well, I don’t have one. I told you already.” Kris thought for a moment. “Say… by any chance, was it your family that came up with Kris’s name?

Noelle jolted. “Wh-huh? How’d you know? Who told you?” “Lucky guess. Actually genuinely lucky. And maybe it was for the best anyway. Otherwise, Asgore might have come up with something stupid. Like Togore or some crap.

“Faha! Dad told me that’s exactly what he picked! Good ol’ Mr. Fluffybuns can’t name for beans!” Noelle and Kris shared a good laugh. ”Well, I guess in that same tradition, maybe I should give you a name? Only if you’re okay with it, of course.”

Noelle, I’d trust you with just about anything.” Kris rested his head on his hands, grinning. A genuine, no-mischief grin that they hadn’t really shown in years.

“Oh, well, put me on the spot, why don’t you?” Noelle sassed, before she began to ponder. <Hmm… maybe something to go with Kris…> It didn’t take long for Noelle to come up with something. “How about Kringle?”

Kris took a moment to process this… slowly reaching a hand to the chest, and…

===================

HNNNNGH!!” He clutched his chest in a mock heart-attack. Something that Noelle was all too familiar with. “Are you trying to put me in a diabetic coma?

“You… you like it? I thought it was kinda… generic.”

I mean, sure, it might be, but if it works, it works! And plus, it’s adorable! Okay. Kringle it is!” Kringle smiled at his new friend.

“Alright then, Kringle… gosh, you acting this silly and sweet, you were never gonna convince anybody with your impression of Kris.” Noelle’s smile fell. “At least… anybody who really cared…”

Like you, of course, right?

“I mean, obviously! Kris and I go way back. Though I’m sure you know that already.”

Do I ever! You’ve even got a nickname for Kris!” Kringle cleared his throat, and… “Oh, merry Krismaaaas~~!” Kringle’s impression of Noelle’s voice was on-point. Almost eerily so. “You practically gave me diabetes with that one.” And he gave her a gentle punch to the arm.

Noelle laughed some more… until the gears turned in her head.

“Wait… when did you hear that? I haven’t said anything like that, at least, not lately. …unless…”

Oops…” Kringle was caught, and he knew it.

“Oh don’t tell me… you can already hear thoughts… but you can see into people’s dreams too?!”

You mean the Cyber World, right?” Noelle squeaked as Kringle spoke the obvious. “I’m not THAT powerful of a telepath. And… for the record… that wasn’t a dream.

It was real. All of it.

If Noelle was a computer, she would have blue screened. “T-t-then… I actually did… th-the… the whole thing with… the F-f-f-f-ferris Wheel… and S-s-s-susie…”

Always about Susie with you… come on, Noelle. Get a grip.

“Right… you weren’t there for that, so you wouldn’t know… what happened…”

Well, not exactly…” Noelle tilted her head at Kringle’s cryptic tone. “But either way, I was more a fan of what you and Kris were up to in Cyber City.

“Oh… wow… that actually did happen… just me and Kris… like it was the old days again.” Noelle said, nostalgia filling her voice.

That little prankster. Mischievous, but caring, deep down.

Noelle’s nostalgic reverie quickly ended. “Wait… you were there for the whole thing, weren’t you?” Worry filled her voice. “Does that mean… I was just… spending time with you, and not Kris?”

NO! No! Kris was there too! I should know. Even if I was the one in the driver’s seat, as it were… even if I could choose what to say… Kris always had the last word for HOW to say it. Remember how they howled at you?

“Oh yeah, classic Krismas…” Noelle giggled. “But… how are you talking now? I know Kris well enough to know they wouldn’t want to… y’know, dump all this on me.” She leaned in.

It’s different now. I don’t know how, but somehow, I managed to gain tighter control over Kris’s body and voice.” The room started to feel cold again, and Noelle backed away. “I’m not saying I like it! It’s just… I wouldn’t have been able to tell you the truth any other way… and, out of everyone, I trust you the most to know… and not… get angry over it, or anything.

“Kri… Kringle…”

Thing is… I hate this… I hate having this kind of power… I’d let go in a heartbeat if it meant I could just be me… but I can’t… not without the body I lost.” He looked up at Noelle again. “Could I… hug you again?

Noelle was silent for a moment… until she slowly opened her arms, giving Kringle a patient smile. And Kringle scooted towards her, slowly nestling against her, as her arms came around him.

I feel… like a fraud…

“Huh? Why is that?”

It’s just… I feel like I’m… taking advantage, y’know. You and Kris practically grew up together… and… I just feel like I’m intruding. Like I’m using that to fast-track myself into being friends with you… or worse… trying to take Kris’s place, or something. It wasn’t my place to be… there… when you and Kris were rekindling things back in Cyber-

“Stop.”

Wh… what?

“I don’t care about that, Kringle…” Noelle’s voice was firm. The kind of voice that always silenced Kris’s mind, and that applied to Kringle too. “I don’t care if you’re riding Kris’s coattails… because the thing is… I don’t have a lot of real friends.” Noelle glared to the side. “And one of them is Berdly… arguably.”

“But… the way I see it… you’re a sort of… buy-one-get-one-free sort of friend… and… I’m okay with that. Whatever what the deal with you and Kris is… I’m willing to help you through it… both of you. Because that is what friends do… right?”

Kringle practically started to tear up… and Kris’s hands were starting to twitch heavily. “... Kris is lucky… having you around, Noelle. Call it cheesy, but… you’re the kind of friend I wish I always had.

“I’m… glad to hear that, Kringle.” Noelle reached up, aiming to run her fingers through Kris’s hair…

===================

But the moment her finger touched Kris’s scalp… a switch flipped. Kris suddenly sprang up and off the couch, starting to hyperventilate.

“K… Kringle? What are you doing?”

That wasn’t me! That was…!” Kringle turned his head, and saw Kris’s hand outstretched to the side, and knew what was coming. “No, Kris! Not in front of-!

Chapter Text

Kris’s hand clawed into their own chest, viciously tearing into a crimson glow, snarling as they did so. All the while, Noelle was left to witness this. A dark reflection of what was once a childhood prank, twisted, painful, and wrong. Noelle was transfixed in horror, like what else, but a deer in the headlights?

Until at last, a loud snap. And Kris panted, firmly gripping a glowing red, heart-shaped object. The SOUL… which pulsated heavily, resembling a mix of rapid heartbeat and hyperventilation. Kringle’s look of kind, yet remorseful warmth was gone, replaced by an expression marred with bitterness and resentment… with their bangs having come back down to block out their eyes.

Kris was back.

At last, Noelle found her voice. “K… Kris…?”

It was just… a dream…” Kris strained. “Whatever it said… don’t listen to it. It’s… a tool. Nothing more.

“What? What are you talking about?!” Noelle stood up, finding her courage again. “You don’t understand. I need you to stay out of this.” Kris growled… their grip remaining firm as the SOUL struggled to move.

“Stay out of what?!” Noelle’s remaining fear turned to frustration. “Kris… no. I’m not gonna let you walk away again! I don’t care what Susie said about all of that being a dream!” Noelle looked Kris in the eyes… and despite their bangs trying to block the windows to the soul, Noelle could see the red irises just fine. “You know it… it was real. Wasn’t it?”

Kris gritted their teeth. “Stop it, Noelle…

“Kris, I already said. Whatever is happening, whatever you’re going through… and whatever this Roaring is… I’m here to help! What I said to Kringle goes for you too!”

DON’T CALL IT KRINGLE!

But right when Kris was distracted, the Soul slipped from their fingers! Kris gasped, and immediately gave chase!

Noelle yelped and evaded repeatedly, as the Cage chased the Prisoner… Kris grabbed the mini-tree off Noelle’s desk, using it as a makeshift bludgeon, and struck the Soul true! And the red heart was spiked to the ground, momentarily stunned.

“KRIS! STOP IT!” Noelle yelled, before Kris chucked the mini-tree at the TV, knocking out one of it’s stand legs! Noelle, on misguided instinct, ran over to catch the screen before it could fall and break. And that left Kris plenty of time to grab one of Noelle’s trophies off the shelf, and pop it upon the Soul, trapping it!

Once Noelle got the TV stood up again, she turned, seeing the trophy shaking violently under Kris’s weight.

“That’s enough, Kris!” And with more nerve than she ever dreamed, she ran right for Kris, and tackled them! The soul got loose, and despite Kris’s efforts to break free from beneath Noelle, the deer-girl was the first to catch the Soul!

Before long, it was a standoff in Noelle’s room. Two estranged childhood friends now under a heart-shaped wedge. Noelle held the soul closely to her chest, and it nuzzled softly against her.

Give it here, Noelle. Now.” Kris muttered.

“No. Not a chance, Kris. Not until you explain yourself!”

I can’t. Just give it back!

“Kris Dreemurr… Angel help me, I’ll stuff this thing into myself if you keep clamming up like you always do!”

Kris’s eyes widened at this. “NO! Don’t do that! It’ll possess you!” Even the soul was moving back and forth violently, as if equally, vehemently repudiating the idea.

But Noelle’s brief moment of lost focus was plenty for Kris to grab the Soul! But not quite enough to retrieve it, as Noelle held on tight. Both human and monster pulled with all their might… until all of a sudden… POP!

The Soul slipped out of both of their grips, and once in mid-air, it darted directly for the open window!

Sadly, this time, Kris was closer than Noelle. And they stepped up onto the couch and delivered a vicious slap, sending the Soul flying back across the room… only for Kris to have mere milliseconds to realize their mistake… as the Soul crashed right into the potted cactus, formerly named Krismas…

Kris cried out in agony, as the Soul vibrated and distorted, as if letting out an inaudible scream of its own! “KRIS!” Noelle rushed to Kris’s aid… as they crumpled off the couch and onto the floor, still letting out agonized vocalizations…

With Kris down, the Soul eventually tore itself free from the spiny snare, and went for the door.

===================

Something closed around the Soul… something as cold as ice. Movement was no longer possible…

Both Kris and Noelle looked on, the color draining from their faces, as now, the room felt even colder than ever… but she wasn’t looking at either of them. Only the red Soul in her hand, paying no mind to the few remaining cactus spines from it pricking her hand. And she smirked.

“Leaving? So soon?”

“How rude… I was just starting to warm up to you.”

===================

holidaygirl1225:

Thank the Angel my phone still has an internet connection, and mom didn’t take it like she did my computer. But…

HOLY CHEESE ON RYE! I thought today was just gonna be a normal festival day. But then Kris comes along, and it turns out they’re possessed by something? Or… someone? Maybe I should find Catti and ask her. I’m not as into the supernatural as she is. Last time she, Kris, and I used a Ouija Board… actually… I don’t remember what happened next.

But, it turns out that the “demon” possessing Kris is actually a nice guy, and a bit of a cuddle bug, I might add. :3 I even started calling him “Kringle”. (Yes, he goes by he/him, unlike Kris.) You’d think that Kris would be delighted to have a friend inside of ‘em, all things considered.

But, nope. Honestly, I can’t blame Kris. For the record, the idea of being possessed gives me the heebie-jeebies (And why did my finger start hurting as I typed that?). Kris even went as far as to rip out their own soul! Because apparently, that cuts off Kringle’s control. Don’t ask me how THAT works. D:

But that’s not even it! Mom was acting really suspicious about the whole thing! She even locked me in my room while she and Kris talked somewhere. Something about a Knight… Which reminds me! Kringle told me that the Cyber World actually happened! And… after giving it a lot more thought… oh crumpets. We’re actually in a LOT of trouble.

It’s a few hours before the festival starts. And I’m really looking forward to seeing Susie… and NOT because she offered to take me (not entirely anyway). She lied about the Cyber World. Twice! Now it’s gonna be my turn to get one over on her! (And hopefully have another Dark World adventure after.) XP

But I hope Kringle is doing okay. Hopefully he can fill me in once I get outta here.

Hold it! You aren’t, perchance, talking about some internet cityscape that was in the computer lab, are you? With the kooky queen, roller coaster, and giant robot fight?

holidaygirl1225:

That’s the one! I can’t BELIEVE Susie told us it was a dream.

smartgeniushalbird:

…my prayers have been answered. I’m going to go talk to Susie right now!

holidaygirl1225:

Oh don’t you dare, birdbrain! Not while I’m stuck here!

smartgeniushalbird:

Or what? You’ll strangle me again? My neck is still sore from that!

holidaygirl1225:

I DIDN’T STRANGLE YOU! >:(

silentknight2202:
