Summary
A fantasy au where Pomni is the daughter of kinger and queenie, and she is far from the perfect princess. As far as the royal court is aware, she is a boring spinster who spends all of her time in her studies. In reality, her studies by day are just an excuse to learn more about her less acceptable hobbies by night. She's a thrill seeker. She practices acrobatics to keep herself honed for exploring her city's rooftops and abandoned buildings by night. She pickpockets just about every noble who enters the palace doors. She has a pervasive habit of poking her nose into things she shouldn't.
And then her father, Kinger, decides to marry her off to a stranger: the heir of a neighboring country. It happens with absolutely zero warning, and he avoids giving Pomni a straight answer. He seems almost afraid to.
The same night her life is turned on its head, a circus comes to her city. She immediately becomes infatuated with two of the cast members, and learns that the circus might just be a possible escape from her arranged marriage to the strange heir.
