Seeing fireflies during summer or spring was a thing of the long past; even before the apocalypse, there had been a dwindling in their sight and number through the years, particularly in urban and populated areas. So, after the world went down in chaos, everyone thought that those little fairy bugs had gone extinct.
At least that was the case before they recovered one of the biggest conservatories in Korea, the Seoul Botanic Park.
Who would have thought they would be hiding and thriving there? Certainly not Choi Jung Soo, when he jumped over a large box plant to scare Kim Rok Soo.
The change in the atmosphere was almost instantaneous, or maybe that was the strategist’s imagination when he instinctively activated Record; world moving a little lower, things seemed a little brighter, even Lee Soo Hyuk’s face appeared cuter in the flickering light.
“Huuuh! Look at that,” with a chuckle, the swordsman waved his arms around, throwing himself over their team leader’s back to reach higher in an attempt to catch at least one tiny bug in his hands. “Sooo cute, they are almost as pretty as our dongsaeng!”
“Shut it!” Rok Soo’s reply was almost instantaneous, losing any interest in preserving the sight deep in his memories to shout at the Choi, ears burning red in the dark, overgrown place.
Lee Soo Hyuk’s smirk made the youngest of them take a step back, just to get trapped between the two men (turned one man? Jung Soo was still clinging to their leader like a monkey) and that damn plant box. “Stay away from me, you freaks!”
“Look, Jung Soo, our punk’s blushing.”
