    "Kanamori?" rang into his ear. It was so quiet, and sad, and so unlike Shiori, an intense amount of worry coursed through him as he stood up, keeping his phone pressed to his ear. It wasn’t a conversation he wanted to have around Akiri, so he wouldn’t have to skirt around anything a little too intense for a child to overhear.

    "S—Sano-senpai? It’s been a while, hasn’t it?" God, he hadn’t been so nervous since his provisional license exam.
