Summary
Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne were best-friends since they can both remember, but that connection they built as kids was cut with a knife the day that Bruce was kidnapped, a few months after the murder of his parents.
Almost two decades later, a dark vigilante that goes by the name of “The Batman” appears in the streets of Gotham, cleaning up the blood that stained the city red, alongside the reappearance of Bruce Wayne, who people thought was dead.
On a rainy night of patrol, Batman sees a flash of red and blue in the sky, and then a figure that stood tall and proud in the midst of Gotham’s darkness, almost like a sun. He was meant to be offended, no meta-human was allowed in his city, and he had made this very obvious. But there was a thing that bothered him even more than the fact that there was a meta-human superhero thing in his city. It was the gut-wrenching feeling that he knew this man.
