Day 1
The first day after you learn the truth is the worst. Everything hurts, and for the first time in a long time, you know that this is all your own pain. You think you’re glad no one else feels it. Where you used to not be able to feel anything, now it’s like you feel everything all at once. All the past years of indifference now coming back to punch you in the face. Kind of like what Tenga did. Nico and Hisomu sit with him for a while, and they don’t try to make you talk about it. You think you’ll be okay.
Day 2
You aren’t okay. The memories were okay for the first couple of hours, but then you stopped being able to tell memories from reality. You keep your door and blinds closed at all times. The only reason why you even know it’s been a day is because Hisomu and Nico leave meals outside the door periodically. Sometimes they knock and try to talk to you, but they don’t seem to realize that the door isn’t locked. They just need to try the knob.
Day 5
It’s been getting worse and worse. Or maybe it’s been getting better. You’ve stopped crying, at the least. Or that may just be the dehydration.
Day 10
You should really treat Hisomu and Nico to dinner, or something. The fact that they still bother to come and give you your meals says a lot about how much they still want to be friends. You hope you’ll be able to take them up on that offer.
Day ???
The pain is slowly turning back into indifference. You think that’s a good thing. It means things are going back to normal. No one else seems to think that though. Hisomu just looked at you sadly, as though he understood, while comforting a crying Nico. No one else has visited.
