Summary
This is Van, scared as she is. She will recognise them, and she will try to communicate, but her time in the eternal sea has left her able to communicate only through Whalesong. Thankfully Monty can understand her - would have been able to with or without the crystal from Tabira city. Even then Van’s words are jumbled and disjointed, a code in and of themselves. She would say most of their names when seeing them, when trying to address them.
However there is a Van that he does not recognise, and one that does not recognise them. Some base primal version that she had been reduced to. Feral and reactive.
