Chapter 1: Part 1

Chapter Text

"I love you." Chi Yan said to Wu Suo Wei. But he couldn't see Chi Cheng who was standing right behind the counter leaning towards Wu Suo Wei and whispered in his ear, "I 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶"

They both had spoken at the same time. But only but Wu Suo Wei could hear and see them both. One in front of him, staring at him lovingly while the other one standing right behind him, whispering those lewd words making Wu Suo Wei shiver with some foreign feelings. And Wu Suo Wei didn't need to turn back to know what kind of expression the other one had on his face. The tingly breath in ear was enough of an indication.

Wu Suo Wei has been living a double life at the same place in same time. He spent his days with his boyfriend Chi Yan while his nights were consumed by Chi Cheng with the mystery and dark desires. Strange thing, both Chi Yan and Chi Cheng looked identical to eachother but one was human while the other was a mysterious entity who's only visible to Wu Suo Wei. Chi Yan, as Wu Suo Wei believed was the love of his life but Chi Cheng said they're fated. That he's the darkest, deepest desire that Wu Suo Wei summoned himself. And now there's no going back.

"Dawei? You look tense." Chi Yan looked at Wu Suo Wei with concern.

"You look tempting." Chi Cheng again whispered in his ears sneering, "Such a shame that this loser can't see it. But don't worry, Peach. I'll give you what he can't. I'll worship every part of you the way you deserve to be. I'll pleasure you so good...."

"Ahhh" Wu Suo Wei gasped involuntarily hearing those lewd words whispered right into his sensitive ear.

"Dawei! What happened?" Chi Yan cupped his shoulder.

"Ask him to leave." Chi Cheng hissed.

Wu Suo Wei quicky shook his head, "Nothing, I suddenly got cramps in legs."

He tried pull his legs together to hide the growing arousals from Chi Yan. It would be embarrassing if Chi Yan saw him getting hard like this. And worse it would be if he thought the reason behind this was his confession. Because that was a big fat lie. Chi Yan and him didn't share that kind of intimacy. They have been together for years. They lived together in their shared apartment though both have their individual bedrooms, occasionally made out but that was it. They never crossed the line beyond that. They had been taking it slow and Chi Yan always respected his boundary. The need of physical intimacy never occurred to Wu Suo Wei. Well.... until he met Chi Cheng.

[Flashback]

To be more accurate he didn't meet Chi Cheng. Chi Cheng found him. How, Wu Suo Wei had no idea. It was one drunk night where Wu Suo Wei had a dinner meeting with his colleagues. He was completely wasted by the time they finished. Chi Yan had overtime at his workplace that night so Wu Suo Wei tried calling a cab when he saw him. Under the moonlight Chi Yan was standing by a Pine tree, smoking, staring at the bright moon. Wu Suo Wei thought his eyes were playing tricks. It was the same Chi Yan yet he looked different. His get up was different than usual. Chi Yan used to wear plain corporate outfits but that night he was wearing a black shirt paired with black pants, Chelsea boots and a pitch black overcoat. His usual glasses gone. He looked different. In a good way.

Wu Suo Wei waddled towards him throwing his arms around Chi Yan and happily slurred out, "There you are. You came for me?"

In Wu Suo Wei's eyes, Chi Yan looked baffled by that sudden imposing. His eyes narrowed at Wu Suo Wei as if he didn't recognise him. Wu Suo Wei hugged his neck, their noses almost touching and said, "Didn't you say you have overtime today? Why did you come then? To surprise me?"

Chi Yan stared at him strangely and said, "You mistook me for someone else, mister."

Wu Suo Wei grinning, "Ohhoo are we role-playing now? That's why you're dressed differently tonight, aren't you? Fine two can play the game. I like your this get up better by the way. You look rougher and hotter."

Chi Yan tried to shove away Wu Suo Wei snapping, "I'm not playing game. I don't know who you are."

[As you can already guess, the person in front of Wu Suo Wei isn't Chi Yan, but drunk Wu Suo Wei mistook him. We know who it is 🤭]

But before he could do so Wu Suo Wei pressed his lips to his. A jolt passed through both of them. Wu closed his eyes feeling Chi Yan's hand on his waist. Even the kiss felt different. A sudden wave of sensation washed over Wu making him dizzy with desire. He had never felt hotter during kiss. His mouth moved in its own urgency, body pressed closer to the person. Wu could feel Chi Yan was no different. His one hand grabbed the hair of his nape while the other one wrapped around him neck pressing lightly on the Adam's apple. A involuntary moan escaped Wu Suo Wei's mouth and that person shoved his tongue inside his mouth. Wu Suo Wei pressed his lower body harder to Chi Yan's. A kiss never tasted this better. Wu's body never felt this much itchy even when he was sober.

His knees were about to give up when he was suddenly lifted off the ground and pressed to the tree behind them. Chi Yan ground on him while his tongue tasted every corner of the inside of Wu's mouth. They kept rubbing on eachother while kissing. He and Chi Yan had never done something like this before. They had never tried anything on public either. Neither Wu nor Chi Yan were comfortable with PDA but tonight it felt different. The choke on Wu's throat and grinding of their hardness left Wu nearly breathless and when just from all the kissing and grinding he was about to come apart, suddenly his neck stung from a sharp bite before heard a deep voice whispering into his ear,

"Mate."

Wu Suo Wei woke up in the morning in his own bed, wearing his comfortable nightwear. His head buzzed from hangover but last night's drizzling moment was still cursing through his blood. He could still feel the taste of the other's tongue in his mouth. His down part clenched involuntarily as if it was muscle memory. Wu got up quickly rushing towards the bathroom. In the mirror he looked at his reflection. There was a bite mark on his neck. But it was not a usual bite mark, it was more like a bug stung, just two dots. When he got out after shower he found Chi Yan in the kitchen making breakfast for them.

"Good morning, babe. You slept well?" Chi Yan smiled looking at him.

Wu smiled back feeling particularly refreshed, "Mmm. What are you making?"

"Pancakes. And here's your hangover soup." Chi Yan handed him a bowl.

Wu took a sip and stared at his boyfriend. He looked his ordinary self. Nothing like last night. Wu smiled to himself. Chi Yan really had few tricks up his sleeps to make things spicy.

"Thank you for last night." Wu said.

Chi Yan looked up, "Thank you for what?"

Wu looked at his confused face and laughed, "Well for starters for picking me up from work. Then we made-"

"Babe, I didn't pick you up last night." Chi Yan's voice stopped Wu. He smiled confusedly at Wu, "I have overtime remember? You came home by yourself. Or maybe a colleague helped you. You don't remember?"

Wu frowned, "What are you talking about? You were there to pick me. You even dressed up differently. You're the one who brought me home."

Chi Yan stared at him for a while then said, "I must thank the person who brought you home if you were that drunk to even mistook someone else for me. I hope you didn't end up kissing them." He joked.

But Wu went quiet. Kiss? They did more than that and it was the best make out he had ever had. Wu couldn't tell if Chi Yan was joking or not. But even being drunk Wu could clearly remember it was Chi Yan under the moonlight. The lighting outside the bar wasn't that bad either. Then why was Chi Yan acting like last night never happened? If it wasn't Chi Yan, then who brought him home? Who cleaned the mess in his pants and changed him into fresh clothes, tucked him to bed, all while whispering "mate"....."fate".... Something like that.

Afraid Wu Suo Wei might have dreamt all of that he didn't press the matter to Chi Yan. Chi Yan bid him with a goodbye kiss on his lips before heading to work and Wu Suo Wei closed the door behind him. He touched his lips with his fingertips. The kiss didn't feel hot at all as the memory of his last night's kiss did. Even thinking about it made his stomach clenched with a new kind of sensation that he had never felt before. Maybe it was time he and Chi Yan had taken their relationship to next stage. Maybe now he was ready both physically and mentally. While Wu Suo Wei absentmindedly was reminiscing his last night's memory a deep voice made him jump.

"Still thinking about me, peach?"

Wu Suo Wei jumped suddenly hearing the voice in the empty apartment but his heart lodged to his throat when he saw Chi Yan standing in the centre of the room, mouth curved into a risque smirk. Wu Suo Wei watched him with wide eyes. Chi Yan was wearing again his last night's outfit. His glasses gone, hair styled differently and something arrogant lurking behind those sharp eyes. This whole attire made him look taller and sharper. Different from the Chi Yan he knew. Wait...he just saw Chi Yan off through the door. Then how did he get in again?

"I'm not who you think I am, but" new Chi Yan strode up to him, standing too close and drawled, "I'm who you desire, my Mate."

Words got stuck in Wu Suo Wei's mouth. Mate. He remembers the ghost of its sound ringing in his ears from last night. Chi Yan called him mate last night too. Wu looked carefully at Chi Yan. He and Chi Yan weren't the type to play prank on eachother. Could it be that Chi Yan trying to spice things up as they had been too busy in the past few months. Wu Suo Wei had to admit Chi Yan managed to pull quite a scary yet hot prank for his first time. He watched Chi Yan scoff suddenly shaking his head.

"How did you get in? I just closed the door seeing you off right now. And when did you even change your clothes?" Wu asked finally.

New Chi Yan smiled closing the distance. He sniffed Wu Suo Wei's neck, "I don't need a door to get in, Peach. Told you I'm not the one you think I am. I have been here since last night. Since I brought you here, laid you on your bed, watched you sleep until that dumbass came back and I had to hide myself."

"You..." Wu Suo Wei felt the familiar shiver in his body, "Chi Yan..."

A sudden bite on neck made Wu yelp but soon two heavy hands pressed him by shoulder grounding him as Chi Yan sucked the spot. Wu moaned out loud.

"Chi Yan, you-"

"Told you I'm not Chi Yan." The heavy voice drawled against his skin, "Don't compare me to that loser, Peach. It's an insult to my entire bloodline."

Wu pushed Chi Yan away stating angrily, "Okay, enough. I admit you played your part well but now it's getting overboard. I'm already hungover, can you now stop pretending and tell me honestly how you got in so quickly?"

"I was here all the time." Chi Yan said.

Wu snorted, "Really? Then why did you pretend this morning like last night never happened? You didn't pick me up? I almost thought I dreamt it all in my head."

Chi Yan didn't say anything. Wu asked again, "How did you get in? Does our apartment have another backdoor?"

Chi Yan shook his head, "I didn't leave at all."

Wu scoffed this time turning to point at the door, "Is that so? Then who did I just kissed goodbye and see off? Are you trying to say that's your doppelga-"

When Wu turned back, he saw no one. Wu's just calming heart jumped again. He looked around but Chi Yan wasn't there anymore. He called out.

"Chi Yan?"

No answer.

"Chi Yan!" He looked everywhere in the house but the guy was no where to be found.

Wu Suo Wei yelled again, "This is too much, A'Yan. Show yourself right now."

"I'm here." Wu flinched when he felt a hand circling around his waist, the deep whisper in his ear, "If you call me I'll come from no matter where I am, Peach. But you cannot call that loser for me. I don't like sharing."

Wu looked sideways but to his dread there was no one behind him yet he could feel the constant breathing on his neck. Wu's eyes trembled. He had never experienced such horrific scene before. He closed his eyes and chanted to himself, "This isn't real. This isn't real. I'm hungover and hallucinating. Chi Yan left. There's no one here but me."

"But I'm here." The whisper came again along with warm pressed body behind him. There he was. Chi Yan. Again right behind Wu, smiling against his ear.

At this moment Wu didn't know what to do. He forcefully tore himself away from the man and ran for his phone. He quickly dialed Chi Yan's number, eyes still on the Chi Yan standing in front of him. The phone got picked on 2nd call.

"Dawei?" Chi Yan's voice came, "Is everything alright?"

Wu looked in horror that the Chi Yan in front of him wasn't the one talking into the phone. He just stood there, looking bored.

Wu managed to whisper, "Chi- Chi Yan! Wh- where are you?"

"I'm almost near my office, babe. Why? Do you need something?"

Wu's lips wobbled, "C- Can you come back? I'm scared. There's someone in the apartment."

As soon as the call ended Wu ran for the door but before he could reach it, Chi Yan's look alike appeared in between the door and him. He drawled in anger, "You can't leave peach. I haven't had my fill yet looking at you."

His eyes roamed on Wu's body. Wu's body froze. He didn't know what else to do. He kept staring at Chi Yan's look alike in horror. He watched that guy walk around, going to the kitchen counter and pick up a pancake.

Taking a big bite he said, "Let's have something to eat until he gets here. At least the loser makes good pancakes."

After sometime he again looked at the terrified Wu Suo Wei and said, "Are you sure you don't want some of these?"

When he recieved no answer he shamelessly said again, "How about we cool ourselves off in the meantime? That loser probably can't even get it up to pleasure you, can he?"

Hearing something so scandalous Wu Suo Wei almost squeaked something when the front door opened. Wu ran to Chi Yan burying his face in his chest.

"A'Yan, there. That guy. Look. I don't know how he got in." He blindly point at the fake Chi Yan.

Chi Yan looked there then tried to clam Wu Suo Wei frantic heart and said, "Babe, first calm down. I've called police. Are you hurt anywhere?"

Wu shook his head, "No. But he said he's been here since last night."

"Where?" Chi Yan tried to look over.

"There" Wu pointed behind himself.

"Dawei, there's no one there." Chi Yan said carefully, "Let me check inside the bedrooms and elsewhere. He might be hiding somewhere."

Wu froze. The other Chi Yan was standing right behind him. Wu Suo Wei could clearly see him, but Chi Yan couldn't?

The other Chi Yan ran his tongue over his lips, "Told you peach only you can see me. Not everyone gets the liberty."

"There!" Wu yelled looking at Chi Yan, "Did you hear him? He said only I can see him. He's the one who brought me home last, A'Yan. He's the one I mistook you for. Because he looks lik-"

"Dawei!" Chi Yan cupped Wu's face, "What are you saying? There's no one here. Our house has anti-theft alarm, remember? No one get in without being noticed."

"But I -"

"Babe, I think you're still unwell from last night." Chi Yan said gently, "This morning you also told the same thing. How about you contact your colleagues and ask who brought you home? Then your mind will be cleared."

The other Chi Yan laughed, "Loser."

Wu looked desperate, "No. No, I'm not imagining things, Chi Yan. If I were to really imagine things, then how did I get this bite mark, tell me."

Wu showed his bitten neck to Chi Yan. Chi Yan looked at his neck carefully for some time. He caressed the part Wu Suo Wei was showing him then told in a quiet voice, "Dawei, there's no bite mark here. Your skin is absolutely fine. See?"

He took Wu Suo Wei to nearby mirror and him his clear skin that had definite bite mark just this morning. Was it really his imagination? He looked at the other Chi Yan. He was still there standing where he had been before. His gaze heavy on Wu's neck where Chi Yan's hand had been resting. Wu Suo Wei couldn't think anymore. Had he gone crazy? Was this supposed to be some kind of mental illness? Tears welled up in his eyes as it became too much for him to take. Wu broke down on the floor crying hysterically while Chi Yan worriedly squat down beside him holding him to calm him down. At one point Wu's eyes followed the other side but by then the other Chi Yan had vanished again.
