Inferiors
Buck had quickly realized that his encounter with Wells was wrong. The fact that he went in with his phone on record so he could go back over his session later, helped. As he went immediately to the hospital to have swabs taken of himself to prove the action had taken place. While doing so, he had the hospital staff call SVU to have a detective unit come by to take his statement and a copy of his recording.
From there it was a quick trip for the detectives to get a warrant for her office and catch her in the act with an actual SWAT member who was looking like death warmed over.
She was arrested for multiple counts of rape, and the warrant served to her staff as they took out the recordings and camera footage of each session she had.
Buck was now going to be put on the stand when she went to trial in a few months and he needed to tell his captain. But the man refused to go into his office for a quiet meeting and insisted Buck tell him what he needed to while he was cooking breakfast.
Getting Nash’s supposed second, though the man never wore the rank on his uniform or did the paperwork, to begin slut shaming Buck with comments that he would bed anyone even his therapist. Which got several of the others in his current favor to play along.
That was until Buck calmly pulled out his own phone and called the man at headquarters over the whole mess and demanded he pull the camera feeds from the loft for that morning as his captain had compromised him with his team. He no longer felt safe staying there to work therefore needed to transfer. And with him gone the whole station would be dropped back down to a regular station instead of getting the rank and pay of a light S&R station. And hung up to go back to pull his things out of his locker, then pull his turn-out from their hook.
All done to the shocked looks of everyone around the loft and Chim’s comment that he “was only joking.”
Meanwhile the breakfast was burning as Nash was trying to explain his non actions to his ultimate boss on the phone as the station was called off duty till a new floater could be called to take their probie’s place. As well as the brass representative coming in to question each and every one of them over the matter of joking and victim blaming a rape victim.
My, what “upstanding” representatives of first responders they were. Was the comment from the Chief as he entered the station. “Laughing and victim blaming a rape victim and then having the nerve to say it was all a joke. Like joking about a rape that happened to the victim is what they should be doing at that time.”
Buck finished out his probie time at the SAR station he had been pulled from going to by politics that had him going to the 118 instead. While everyone else on A-Shift was written up and had to take mandatory classes on what they should have done in the first place. The whole shift separated and sent to other stations during that, as being too toxic to stay together.
Nash was fired for noncompliance on reporting his background when hired and the mess he allowed under his command. Disappearing and never heard from after that, not that anyone cared by that point.
Wells was convicted of being a serial rapist and blackmailer, and sentenced years in prison if she survived her incarceration. As she wasn’t going to get any younger behind bars.
The dispatcher who kept trying to contact Buck, ended up contacting the person who got his old number after he switched phones. He had moved to a new area after changing stations and got sick of the fan calls to his number, hers being just one of them.
