Summary
akutagawa had always believed himself cold and calculating, the brutal hellhound that walked this earth alone and slaughtered countless without changing a shade. his lack of emotion was detached, as if he lacked a soul, as if he could barely be considered a human at all.
but when he starts to crack and the pieces of himself he so desperately hid begin to show through his apathy, the truth of his nature is bled from his mask- and this time he can't hide his true colors within rashomoun's black armor.
after all, he was red on the inside, just as everyone else was.
or: where in an alternate turn of events, akutagawa is captured by the decay of angels rather than turned into a vampire and he learns a lot about himself on the way, and so does everyone else.
