"Krypto!" Kara called out. "Where did you go?"
She stood and waited for him to come. The dog had run off again and she wasn't in the mood to go searching for him. Earth was bigger than she really wanted to search right then. Especially not when he was a white dog and they were in Antarctica.
The sound of his paws on the snow was the first sign of him coming. The she saw the cloud of ice and snow that he was throwing up in his wake as he ran. She smiled at the sound of his bark when he got close enough.
And then she was on her back in the snow with Krypto jumping on her. She laughed out loud at the feeling. She loved him and his rough behavior. It let her feel more than she could from anything else on the planet. But after a minute of roughhousing he got off of her and she sat up to hug him.
"Hey, buddy," she said. "You really need to stop running off."
He barked once, not that he really understood her, but knew that she responded well to him doing that.
She hugged him close.
