Moth & Rust

Summary:

In a world where decay continues to devour, sinners who have lived—and died—with their sights set on earthly treasures are sentenced to the same rot that consumes their surroundings. The very wealth they were counting on eats away their flesh like fire, leaving behind every illusion of worth; every personal memory is faded, as insignificant as the treasures they held onto so tightly. When moths and rust destroy them completely, from every age—rockstars, cowboys, pirates alike, remembrance of all their sins floods in as they ride their highway to hell. Meanwhile, Rockstar Zombie—a subject of this afterlife—seeks any and every distraction to keep himself occupied, to face anything but reality. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Trying to post on Mondays, but because of life, it won’t end up being EVERY Monday. When I am on break from uni, I take a break from uploading.

BEFORE YOU READ: This is not (and will never be) a full, completed story. This is simply a “pilot episode” in comic form, though it is depicted as if you picked it up somewhere in the middle of a series that’s already hypothetically running. Because of this, there is no full backstory or lore explanation, there are adjustments to what the “real” story would be for the sake of portraying each character, and it is more meant to be a test issue of a series made to show its concept, characters, and tone.

The artwork may not be the best of my abilities, nor is it outstanding, but it is meant to do its job. Truthfully, I created this really mostly for me, so if you somehow happen to stumble upon this AND still decide to read, you have been informed.
