Sometimes, I feel alone,
although I’m really not.
Sometimes, I feel so lost
although I have been found.
Sometimes, I hate my life
although it’s the best I’ve ever had.
Sometimes, I long for days long gone,
although those times were really hard.
Sometimes, I feel like I have failed,
although I have achieved so much.
Sometimes, all I ever see is rain,
although my life is graced with sun.
Sometimes, I feel unloved,
although love is all around.
Sometimes, I feel like I could cry,
although all I want to do is laugh.
Sometimes, life is hard,
and there’s just nothing you can do.
