Work Text:

The duo stood in front of the greatest landmark in all of the world, taking in all of its glory. They stood in silence for a second until Kiyo spoke up.

“Here, we are Shuichi. After approximately 14 hours of plane travel and 4 hours in a car, We have finally made it to the world’s largest ball of twine” Korekiyo announced to his partner.

Shuichi didn’t really know how to react. Sure, it was a big ball of twine but there was nothing really that special about it. Did they really have to waste all their time going here?

“Well, what do you think of it, Shuichi?” Kiyo asked. “Oh, uhhmmm... i-it’s great, Kiyo!” He lied, giving him a thumbs up. “Indeed, isn’t it a fascinating creation! It’s truly beautiful that a person would go through the effort of creating this. Why did they make it? What did they wish to achieve? Kehehe, Humanity if truly beautiful, isn’t it?” Kiyo smiled from under his leather mask.

Well, even if he didn’t care about it much, Shuichi was glad that Kiyo really liked it. Even if it was boring, and even if he was sweating in his dark navy clothes, he was happy as long as his partner was too. So Shuichi stood with him and appreciated The World’s Largest Ball of Twine.

“................” “.....Alright, I’m very much bored now, let’s go see something more entertaining” Kiyo sighed, taking Shuichi’s hand. “Wh-what??” he asked. “It isn’t really as intriguing as other people make it out to be, and besides, if it doesn’t interest you all that much we should spend to much time here” Kiyo answered calmly.

And so, they walking off to see what other more interesting thing they could find in Kansas.
