Chapter Text
Flame had been walking for too long, way too long for his own good while trying to find Wemmbu, but he still kept pushing, determined to find him, determined to prove that he's still alive and to get his rematch.
Flame hadn't noticed that he was basically dragging his feet from exhaustion, well not until he started feeling a little cold. As he looked around, he saw himself in a snow biome, great...just what he wanted..to be walking alone in this harsh coldness of the snow..but he didn't think much about it and kept walking.
The compass he held was leading somewhere far, very far away, yet he's following it, not sure if it's even right or just a trap. He had found the compass at some bandits' base which as they said it leads to Wemmbu, or at least a place Wemmbu goes to often, that's what they thought because they also just found that compass somewhere somehow. Now that Flame was walking for too long he started to think...what if he was way too trusting and this compass led to nothing or a trap? The bandits could have lied about it and made this compass to trick Flame to leave them alone...
Flame sighed as he kept walking, feeling the coldness getting to him..his breath heaved with each step he took, and the thick snow slowly became higher and higher.
Then he slipped and fell face-first on the snow, letting out an exhausted huff. "This is so stupid bro.." He mumbled, his voice barely audible and slightly cracking, he coughed to clear his throat which only made him feel colder. He instantly regretted that because he hates feeling cold..
Flame looked around for a bit until he saw a cave, a little far away but he could go to it so he could warm up a little before he continues walking, if he keeps pushing himself he would just pass out from the cold. He huffed as he carried himself up again, walking in the direction of the cave he saw.
Did he push himself too much? He stopped keeping track of how long he'd been walking, he didn't even notice that his body temperature was way colder than it should be. He felt his breath heaving and slowing down, his focus becoming slightly hazy, and his movements becoming more stiff and slow.
He can't keep going.
The realization finally hits him, his fire is off. That's why he started feeling cold and numb...Flame let out a tired huff as he tried to at least reach a bit closer to the cave, but it was still too far away. His limbs felt so heavy and limp that he struggled to move them.
It's colder than he could withstand, how come this biome is so freezing? Usually Flame withstood any cold weather, thanks to his fire, but why was today different?
After only a few more steps, his legs gave up on him and collapsed near a tree, trying to reach for it for any kind of warmth it could give him..
Flame then looked in his inventory, trying to find something, anything to warm himself up, nothing...he tried to sit up and hug himself in an attempt to warm up.."I'm so stupid...This is all so stupid.." he muttered, feeling his body shivering as he leaned on the tree, every part of his body aching from the exhaustion of how long he had been walking...
His eyelids felt heavy, struggling to stay awake, he tried to move again, not wanting to give up because of stupid coldness. He then stood back up, helping himself to stay balanced by leaning slightly on the tree, as soon as he got up he wasted no time and got to walking again, still heading towards the cave despite it still being far.
Flame didn't give up, he didn't want to, so he kept walking despite feeling cold, almost freezing now...he stopped shivering a while which he knew was bad news yet still kept going, he was almost near the cave...he felt his heart hammering in his chest while it started beating slower and slower..
And then his body gave up, he collapsed again on the snow, but this time he couldn't move, the cold had gotten to him...he kept telling himself that he could still get up, it's just some snow, but his body stopped complying with his orders, his eyelids were feeling heavy as he started struggling to stay conscious.
Flame couldn't think clearly, he just stayed in his place, lying on the snow, looking up at the sky before darkness took over. He was feeling exhausted and couldn't stay awake, so he just let the unconsciousness consume him, not really wanting to think about the aftermath...

"You sure this is the right way Parrot?"
Theo asked as he and Parrot were walking in the snowy biome, wearing matching warm sweaters so they could withstand the cold.
"Yeah I'm sure, the coords lead this way"
The avians were off for another treasure hunt, they had a book that had a bunch of coords on it, well they didn't get the book immediately, they had to go through a lot more adventures and solve puzzles to get this book, and now they're on their way to the treasure
"We're like almost halfway through, 2 thousand blocks left to go"
Parrot said as the other hummed. For a moment they were walking in silence, but then the cockatiel avian broke the silence.
"Not a lot tried to look for this treasure huh, bet they either couldn't stand the cold or froze to death"
He said and the macaw nodded to.
"I'm already feeling colder, it was hinted in one of the puzzles about the harsh coldness of this biome but I didn't expect it to be this freezing"
"Good thing I brought these sweaters"
The cockatiel said which Parrot smiled at, and then they continued their journey to find the treasure, passing by mountains and some ravines. The snow is becoming higher and thicker. The two birds stuck next to each other closely so if one of them felt cold they could stop and huddle for warmth for a few moments before going back to their walk.
While they were chatting together about what the treasure could have, suddenly Parrot tripped on something, Theo immediately caught him up from the snow.
"Yo you good?"
Theo asked and the other nodded and stood up, looking down to see on what he tripped on.
"Yeah yeah I'm good, there's something buried by the snow.."
He said as he tried to brush few snow off just to find out that it's a person...someone tried coming here and is probably dying, or maybe already froze to death.
"I guess whoever comes here really freezes to death, should we...should we help or something? Are they even alive?"
The cockatiel asked as Parrot tried pulling the person out by their arm, which when he pressed on it felt a pulse.
"Yeah yeah we should help they're still alive, we can't just leave them freeze"
The two avians worked together to pull the person out from the snow, which they finally did after a lot of energy.
"Flamefrags?? Never expected the immortal demon to have a weakness for snow, I thought he could just melt down the snow-"
Theo spoke in surprise, Parrot as well was shocked, who would ever expect Flamefrags out of all the people on the server would be out here?
"We can't leave him here.."
Parrot murmured as he looked down at Flame's cold unconscious body laying on the snow, he knows that Flame isn't really a good person, but he felt that it would be too cruel to leave him freeze to death, it felt...wrong
"Are we gonna take him all the way back to our shop? We're already halfway almost near the treasure"
The cockatiel asked as Parrot though for a moment before he sighed
"..yeah, the treasure could wait"
The avian said as the other then sighed and picked up Flame, knowing Parrot cannot carry him, heading back all the way to their shop because some immortal demon passed out from the cold and the avians seemed to stumble upon him..
