Gravitational Pull

Summary:

You and Rosalina work out some of your...smaller quirks.

Work Text:

You knew you were starting to feel things for her. Feelings of safety, warmth, tininess. And yet, even though it had been over a week, since that night, you still felt scared to talk to her. You thought that she would tease and judge you for this new urge that overcame you whenever you two were close. That this would drive a wedge between the relationship you two had. You couldn’t help but shy away from her every time she made eye contact. Every time she reached out her hand to give you a loving touch, you found yourself fidgeting nervously. But, as people like her did, she would take notice.

You were doing your daily chores, sorting and putting away books in the Library, when you felt a tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you saw once again the towering form of Rosalina standing over you, causing your breath to hitch for a second.

“Oh, sorry, did I spook you?” she whispered, kneeling down to your level. “I forget sometimes how much bigger I am than you. Especially with this all this weight I’ve been putting on, hehe…” she chuckled bashfully, patting her pudgy belly for emphasis.

“N-no, you’re fine…” you stammered out, “Did you need me for something?”

“I…just needed to talk with you for a minute. Is that okay?” she explained.

You felt your nerves seize up for a second. Did you do something to upset her? Did she want to break ties?

“What’s wrong?”

“Oh, nothing, it’s nothing, sweetie…” she reassured, “It’s just…I know you wanted to extend your stay at the Observatory for a while longer, but…you seem to be avoiding me…did I do something to make you not want to spend time with me? I know that might sound selfish of me, but I want to know if I’ve done anything to make you feel this way…”

Her honesty and concern felt like a punch to the gut. You didn’t want to reveal your feelings, but you would’ve felt awful if you continued to lie to her. You truly were between a rock and a hard place. You tried to say something, but the sudden lump in your throat made it so you could only get out a few unintelligible mumbles. Rosalina’s concern only grew as your fists clenched, and you struggled to maintain eye contact.

“Are you okay? What’s wrong? You know you can talk to me, right?” she continued, gently caressing the side of your face.

Your emotions were getting the best of you. Worry, confusion, doubt, all boiling to the surface. But worst of all…you were feeling small again. Small, lost and confused about how to deal with anything. The lump in your throat grew, you felt your breathing pick up, and then…

A small, pitiful wail.

Rosalina gasped, before immediately holding you close. “Oh, no, don’t cry…! What’s got you so sad all of a sudden?” she fretted, but you could not answer, continuing to sob into her shoulder. Picking you up in her arms, she sat down, letting the subtle motion of the rocking chair soothe you, all the while quietly shushing you. Eventually, you called out…

“Mama…”

Upon hearing that, Rosalina immediately realized what had caused this emotional outburst. “Oh, baby…is this about what happened that night?”

You nodded.

“Did…did you think I was gonna judge you for that?”

You nodded again.

“Oh…baby, I would never judge you for that…I’m so sorry if I made you feel like you were weird for behaving like that…I think I might know what’s got you so conflicted right now.”

Once your crying finally calmed down, she shifted you in her arms a little so she could gaze into your eyes. “Little one…do you know about age regression?”

You tilted your head, the phrase seeming unfamiliar to you.

“I’m guessing that’s a no.” she said, gently brushing away a few strands of your hair. “Well, some people, when they’re feeling down or stressed, they like to, well, act younger than they actually are. Some play with toys, some watch their favorite cartoons, and some just like to snuggle with their favorite stuffed animal. Does that make sense to you?”

Taking a few seconds to register this new information, you slowly nod yes.

“Good, good. Another thing is that while some people can mentally regress on their own, other people may need help regressing or can’t control when they regress. I’m guessing you may fall in the latter, is that right?”

Biting your thumb, you nod yes.

“Aww…I’m guessing you were just feeling really emotional in that moment and couldn’t help slipping into that headspace, huh?”

You could only respond with a small sniffle.

“Oh, baby…” she said as she hugged you tighter. “It’s okay to be small if you feel the need, alright? I am never going to judge you for coping in that way.”

All out of tears, you could only nuzzle into her bosom.

“Tell you what. I’ve got an offer to make to you. There’s something I haven’t mentioned yet.”

You looked up at her, eyes still a bit red and puffy.

“Sometimes, when people regress, they’ll have a caretaker. Someone to keep them safe and happy while they’re in little space. So, I want to ask you something…” she paused, taking a deep breath. “Would you be okay with me being your caretaker? Your…Mama, perhaps?”

“M…Mama?”

“Yes, baby. Mama. I could feed you, play with you, read you stories, snuggle you till you fall asleep. And I’d be more than willing to. Trust me, you wouldn’t be bothering me by accepting. So…do you want me to be your Mama?”

“Mm…please, Mama…”

“It’s settled then. I’ll watch over you when you’re like this. I promise. Mama will always be here for you.”

Letting out a tiny happy squeal, you snuggle more into your newfound caretaker’s plush body.

“Aww…you’re so cute when you’re happy…” she replied, chuckling, before being cut off by a small rumble from your stomach. “Oh, hungry, are we? You wanna have some treats over in the Kitchen? For being such a cutie-pie?”

You eagerly nodded. With a smile, Rosalina would pick you up and cradle you in her arms all the way to the Kitchen, quickly fetching you a plate of cookies. As you eagerly nibble on the chocolatey snacks, you notice her grab something for herself, a large cake adorned with Star Bits. Noticing your head tilt in confusion, she chuckled bashfully. “Oh, just a small snack for myself.” You were puzzled on how that counted as small, but continued enjoying your cookies nonetheless. Your attention couldn’t help but be drawn to her again though, once you started noticing her eagerly consuming multiple slices one after another, long after your tummy had grown full. Just how much could this woman eat?

You just looked on, kicking your feet back and forth as Rosalina dug into the cake with her fork, not minding the crumbs on her face or the fact that she had already gained a few dozen pounds in this short time alone. In just a few minutes, she had gone from mildly chubby, to full on fat, bordering on obese as she pieced apart the last slice, her tummy now filling her lap entirely. Upon finally noticing your confused, yet innocent stare, she blushed profusely.

“Oh, hehehe…did…did you want a slice, baby? I-I’m sorry, I’ve been a bit…addicted to Star Bits lately. I know they’re not the healthiest for humans…but they taste so good…” she confessed, looking mildly ashamed of herself.

Ignoring her words, you crawled over to her and onto her tummy, letting out a tiny sigh.

“O-Oh…well, this is unexpected. Are you…trying to snuggle with my belly?”

You let out a soft hum as you continue to rub your face against her.

“Do…do you like when Mama is big and soft like this?”

Another tiny squeak of happiness confirmed her suspicions.

“Aww! You’re just the biggest snuggle bug, aren’t you? You just want the biggest, fluffiest Mama to cuddle up to, don’t you? Oh, precious baby…!” she squealed, immediately pulling you closer to her. “You little chubby chaser, you!” she continued, pinching your cheek. “Oh, we’re gonna have the best cuddle times, aren’t we? Oh, you’re so cute when you’re in little space, and I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet!”

You perked up, wondering what else she was planning.

“Why don’t you run along and get in your jammies, okay? Mama has a special bedtime surprise for you…”

Understanding your assignment, you crawled off Rosalina’s tummy, before quickly running to the Bedroom, changing into your favorite fuzzy pajamas, and climbing in under the sheets to wait and see what else she was about to give to you.

Eventually, you watched as she entered the room with a warm smile on her face, her footfalls still surprisingly light even though her belly wobbled like a bowl of jelly whenever she moved so much as an inch.

“You ready to see your surprise, little one?” she whispered, her voice still a soothing balm to your very soul. At your eager nod, she brought out two things from behind her back: a cosmic blue pacifier, and a baby bottle full of warm milk prepared especially for you.

“I used to have these for the newborn Lumas aboard the Observatory, but they never seemed to have much use for them. But now, now that I have a new little baby to take care of, why not give them some little gear to use?”

Instinctively, you made grabby hands, eagerly awaiting your presents. Rosalina soon crawled into bed beside you, before cradling you in her arms, supporting your head as she brought the baby bottle to your lips.

“Say ahh, little one…” she coaxed.

As you opened your mouth, she gently placed the bottle’s tip into your mouth, watching you suckle the warm, creamy liquid. As you drank and drank, you felt yourself getting drowsy, your eyes beginning to flutter. Eventually, as you drank the last drop, you let out a small burp as Rosalina rubbed your baby belly.

“There we go. Sweet, sleepy baby.” she cooed, giving you a kiss on the cheek, before sliding the pacifier between your lips and holding you close to her warm, soft body. Even in your sleepy state, you still clutched onto her as if she would disappear if you let go. As she rubbed your back, you heard one last thing before succumbing to sleep, knowing that a day like this would certainly not be the last anymore…

“Good night, little one. Sweet dreams.”
