Work Text:
Tokoyami is the last person in his class, he hadn't realized the bell had rang and dark shadow being the little bitch he is, didn't tell him.
Aizawa walks up to him and hands him a small roll of cash.
Tokoyami smirks a little “ why must you be so wary when it comes to payment?” He jokes earning a glare.
“Just take the cash already, I don't want anyone seeing” , Aizawa replied, he cringes internally, he sounds like a damn pred.
Tokoyami simply chuckles and takes the roll of cash. “Can I see it? I need to make sure it's healing properly, "Tokoyami inquired.
Aizawa's palms become clammy; he feels like he's doing something wrong. He lifts his shirt revealing the tattoo of the clouds in the midst of a sunset but instead of the sun being there it's the moon, the clouds are shaded with a soft magenta that fades into a deep violet.
“You actually did good with the tattoo I must say” Aizawa says.
“Tatoo I wanna see?” Hawks whined as he opened the door. Only to see Aizawa standing there with his shirt half off. “Why are you showing my intern your pecs?” hawks said flatly.
Tokoyami lets out a low giggle. But shuts up as soon as Aizawa glares at him, then sighs and looks back as hawks. “I let him give me a tattoo,” Aizawa confessed. It's all he could do without looking like a weirdo.
A chorography of gasps come from behind the door as mic, principal nedzu, miruko and out of all people fucking all might enter the room.
“You actually let him give you a tattoo?” Mic exclaimed a hint of jealousy in his tone. He always wanted to give aizawa a tattoo but he never let him because the last time he did a tattoo it was on the cloud guys (I forgot his name bruh 😭) and now the cloud guy is dead. Realistically the two events have no correlation but Aizawa is superstitious. Then he realizes the teacher had made that shit up because he wanted a bullshit excuse as to why mic couldn't give him a tattoo.
“How’d you convince him?” Muriko asked.
Aizawa's face turns a light peach color. As tokoyami grins cheekily.
“I have my ways,” he answered cryptically. He had hacked into aizawa old records and found all kinds of pictures and videos of him when he was deep in his emo phase. When Aizawa found out he was furious but also impressed by the teens' manipulation skills. Even if those skills were used against him.
Toshoroni looks around the room as if there weren't already people in the room with him and turns to the teen. “ Does it hurt?” He whispered as if worried the whole world might hear him and berate him for asking such a human-like question.
Tokoyami shrugs, “you might've heard this plenty of times but from my experiences both tattooing myself and other people, there are many factors that come into play when it comes to getting a tattoo, moisture, sensitivity, pain tolerance and the experience” tokoyami explained.
muriko’s ear twitches. “IV always wanted a tattoo but not a lot of tattoo artist in Japan aren't good at tattooing on black skin” muriko said, rubbing her arm nervously.
Tokoyami hums in acknowledgement, “my adopted fathers are quiet the diverse couple, the shop is black owned so I have a lot of experience if you want I could do your's?” He suggested.
Muriko's eyes practically light up in excitement. “Really? How much would it be?” She asked.
Tokoyami grabs his sketchbook. “What would you want?” He asked the rabbit hero.
“ Can I look at the stencils you already have?” She asked, pointing to the medium sized folder.
Tokoyami looks over “oh this one is my folder for school my stencil folder is in my dorm room,” he gets up and the heroes follow like little ducklings.

When they get to tokoyami's room aizawa holds back a cringe. G-d why does the kid have to be so much like him back when he was in his goth phase.
Muriko goes through the folder, transfixed by the lollita x gothic aesthetic. “This is sick” she murmured in awe. “Can I have this one?” She points to a mummified rabbit with a bow on it.
Tokoyami looks over, “sure, I do, do discounts and late payments, I also have a different payment method, if you can't pay me in cash or card then I'll give you a shitty tattoo where it's visible” he explained.
Muriko lights up, she likes the kid already. He doesn't take shit from others and is as blunt as a joint. “How much is it?” She asked.
“Well the minimum price is 5,000 yen but since your my mentors friend and the tattoo isn't that big I'll put the price down to 3,500 yen” he answered before adding “but I do have to finish sensor Aizawa's tattoo with won't take to long then I can do yours but if anyone else wants one your gonna have to book an appointment” he explained.
Surprisingly all might speaks up. “Can you book me an appointment?” He asked intuitively as if he was doing something illegal.
Basically all the heroes in the room that haven't already had an appointment booked one.
“And before you say anything responsible, the other students here do not know about my secret hobby, only the adults” tokoyami reassured, he can visibly see nedzu’s shoulders relax.
“Well I don't see any harm in this, the kid clearly knows what he's doing, he's responsible enough to not go around the school giving everyone tattoos, it's not effecting his work and he's learning some good business skills, so I have no problem with it but as soon as I do see a problem with this I will shut it down so I make myself clear?” Principal nedzu exclaimed. Tokoyami nods reassuringly.
“Affirmative” tokoyami confirmed.
***(Bonus scene)****
Tokoyami turns on his playlist, as soft jazz music fills the room.
Aizawa chuckles, “really, jazz?” He questioned.
Tokoyami turns to him, “is it bad I could play a different playlist?” He suggested but was waved off by the teacher.
“No it's fine I just didn't expect you to be so emotional mature, and I don't mean that in a ‘oh your so mature for you age’ I mean like someone's I wonder if I'm teaching a Victorian child or if I'm teaching a reincarnation of my grandfather” he teased light heartedly.
Tokoyami turns off the tattoo machine, praise is his weakness, it makes him so emotional. “I apologize for not reveling in the dark, I tend to get all sappy when complimented by an older person, it's a reminder to me that I am safe and even though I wasn't abused per se, I never really had that emotional bond, I wasn't neglected, I was fed,I had clothes, I had the basic needs of a child, but I'm starting to realize that I didn't need any of those all I needed was someone to hold me and tell me that I am accepted and cherished, not as a hero but as a child longing for someone to call home, I have a confession to make, that guy I hang out with is not my adopted father, he lost his kid a while back and is using me as a way to cope with the loss of his child, as I use him as a way to cope with the longing need to have someone I can call family” tokoyami vented for a while he hadn't realized that the playlist had somehow switched to soft piano music.
He giggles at the cinematic of the scene, looking over to see his teacher trying hard not to cry. “I am here for you as much as you need me to be as much as I am here for your classmates, your class has been the best group of growing heroes I have ever taught, I can't help but to admit that I have grown attached, I mean if you have met me years before and asked if you could tattoo me, I would've expelled you for even thinking you had a chance” he chuckled,
Tokoyami hugs Aizawa, “You're the closest thing to a father that you have, I would say hawks but he's more of a younger brother” tokoyami teased.
“Yeah yeah, now stop being all theatric and continue this so I can go to sleep” aizawa brushed the student off.
Tokoyami continues the tattoo then looks up to see damn near the class standing at his door wide eyes with shock. “Fuck” he says simply as he’s swarmed.
