Summary
In the late 1800s, Marcel, a young and brilliant scientist raised among the aristocrats of Paris, is sent at the request of his stepmother to Sebastien Valet, the mad scientist who lives a life full of mystery outside the city. Here, Marcel witnesses things that shake his perception of reality. A pair of red eyes and claws as sharp as knives do not frighten him; on the contrary, they excite him.
