Summary
When rival acquisition editors Remus Lupin and Sirius Black meet under less-than-ideal circumstances on a train to the Scottish Highlands, both pray it's a one-off encounter they'll never have to repeat.
Then they disembark in the same tiny village—both there to compete for the unpublished manuscripts of a beloved romance novelist—and realize they’re stuck in a very small world with very competing interests. What they don’t expect is to be lodged in the same cottage, sharing tea, thin walls, and an escalating amount of mortification.
Remus just wants to do his job without being patronized by the effortlessly charming man who seems to float through life on old money and good looks. Sirius just wants to prove himself without getting flayed alive by the prickly, devastatingly attractive editor who sees straight through him.
Between a meddling landlady, nosy villagers who’ve already decided they’re a couple, and the uncomfortable truth that collaboration might serve them better than competition, they’re running out of ways to keep this strictly professional. -
