Summary
Alex Claremont-Diaz, a senior political correspondent at The Ridge Journal, is probably two strikes away from being demoted at work. HR has given him another official warning, stating that if he continues to be late and act hostile towards his colleagues, there will be serious consequences.
Then, his next-door neighbour, who despises him, gets hospitalised and wants him to take care of her beloved pet until one of her relatives can come and take it.
And to top it all off, he ends up in an petty online spat with some stranger on the internet about a review he wrote or whatever.
Just fucking great.
